I have recently become interrested in finding my "roots". I realized at this time in my life I know so very little about who I am or where my ancestors are or really nothing about them. I hope this will be a sourcce to help me find family members and then something about them.....

Roman T Baggett (Thos R Baggett)
Came across a post you made concerning a photo that was of Roman T Baggett....

Roman T Baggett in some census was shown as Thomas Roman Baggett was a son or Henry Baggett and Caroline Sanchez-Baggett.

Henry Baggett and Caroline Sanchez were married in Levy County, Florida on 17 Oct 1867. They had two sons prior to Henry Baggett's (their father) death about 1873..

Thomas Roman Baggett and William Henry Baggett were the two sons of Henry and Caroline Baggett.. My wife Dawn is a descendent of William Henry Baggett... We live in Largo, Fl

The 1880 census shows Thos R Baggett and Wm Henry Baggett living with their fathers (Henry Baggett) brother who was John T Baggett and they were living in Hillsborough County, Fl.

Basically I am trying to find out about any proof positing that Henry and Caroline Sanchez were the parents of the two boys. Have been looking but can not find out where they were in the 1870 census.

If this peeks your interest send me an e-mail and we will go more into the details.

Susan Melviney Cox Green
I noticed you had added a photo to the memorial for Susan Melviney (Cox) Green (Find A Grave# 38808775) in Poor Spot Cemetery. Are you related to her? Recent research I have completed indicates she may be my great grand aunt and the sister of my great grand uncle James A "Jim" Cox also in Poor Spot. My research shows that James was born in Elbert Co, Georgia and is the son of Clement W Cox and Nancy Yeargan. The Florida death record I found for him says he died in Taylor Co, Florida on 22 Sep 1929 and his parents were Clement Cox and Yergesim (Yeargan). Apparently he left Georgia after the war and took his younger sister Melvina and younger brother Clement Jr to live with his uncle Thomas N Cox in Florida. An older sister, Elizabeth, married Levi Ellison and also moved to Florida. I believe she may be the Betty Ellison also in Poor Spot. An older brother of James, John Henry Cox, was my great grandfather and he married Martha Whitt and later moved to Texas (my home state). I hope I haven't totally confused you with this. I would appreciate any additional information and comments you might have about the Cox family.

Subject: Nancy Jane DeVane English 1824-1904

Are you related to the DeVanes ? She is a Real Daughter of 1812 and the local chapter would like to mark her grave recognizing her and her Father's service in War of 1812 and we need contact with a family member.

George Woods
My sister Bev Bailey has been corresponding with you regarding George Woods and how to locate him. I have been his friend for the past 20 years and can put you in touch with him, if you like. We shared with Bev some of the grave sights, in turn she added them to Find a Grave. I just recently joined myself.
