|Eileen Alwood||Dessie, Caty, and Georgie Firestone|
I am acting with the permission of Eileen Alwood. Per information learned recently from the record keeper at the Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton, Indiana, infants Dessie, Caty, and Georgie Firestone, belonged to Daniel J. Firestone and Mary Whysong Firestone. The original parents used to be Daniel Firestone and Mary Wise Firestone.

Susie is a very elusive soul. She was my maternal great-grandmother. There are many of us relations seeking who her parents were. All we know is that her parents dropped her off with the Lowry family when she was a young girl (some family lore say she was a baby, others say she was somewhere between 4-6 years old. The story is Susie was ill and her parents left her with the Lowrys and were to come back for her. Well, they didn't. The Lowry family raised her and she later married into the family. The only thing she remembered was the name Buckalew. Don't know where it ties in, if it even does. The first time any family member heard the name Albright was very recently when we found William Dean's death record and Grace Lowry Cunningham (his sister and Susie and James I's daughter) listed that name on the record. Where did that come from? Who knows? We have searched extensively for the Buckalew tie-in and have never found it. She knew she was born in Preston County, West Virginia and we've searched there.
If anyone ever finds ANYTHING tying (tieing?)her in to a birth family there will be a lot of celebrating.

Hi Mary! Sorry about the delay, I've been travelling a lot lately.
I've spent the last hour trying to figure out where Buckalew/Bucklew came from and I havent gotten a clear picture yet.
The only source I have is World Family Tree Vol. 5, Ed. 1 from 1995, which we all know is just delightfully inaccurate.
I'm going to keep digging. More soon.
Hope all is well :)

Feel free to use anything I post on here for your own tree. I took those pictures a few years ago as there was a request posted on here. I'm not as mobile as I was then, but if I get back to that area, I will take a look. Have you hit the request a photo button for the others you are looking for?

Yes you can use her picture, but please tell me how you are related? She was my Maternal Great Grandmother---Sarah Ann and husband Frisby raised my Mother from Oct 1918 till 1931.
