Bio and Links
Bio Photo We try to photograph entire cemeteries. Often when on vacation we will photograph, therefore you may see our photos have been taken in many different areas of the the country.

Under no circumstances do we link to burial unknown, link to duplicates, or allow our photos to be added to duplicates. Any use of our photos on other memorials on Find A Grave will be reported to administration.

Transfers are generally per Find A Grave guidelines. There are always exceptions within reason. No mass transfers.

I no longer will do edits when there is no contact info. I have had too many questionable edits sent, plops in cemeteries that would encompass my memorials if I accept, and links that are assumed, but not verified.

Please use the edit function on the memorials, for links, dates etc. Edits/requests on the message board will be ignored.

We may ask for documentation, don't take it personally, but with so many sending edits we try to stay as accurate as possible.

I borrowed this from another member, and I could not have stated it better. " The first memorial created in the correct cemetery (NOT as a burial unknown memorial) is the permanent memorial. Date of creation is not considered when comparing a memorial created correctly, in a verified cemetery, and one created as "burial unknown.

**When notified FAG will always remove/merge a burial unknown moved into a cemetery where a grave has been verified. "

I love a clean edit box, I can't help my self. It is the one and only tidy part of life, my edits on F.A.G.:)

Lavina Almy 122572641
Dear Scout:

I am interested in reconciling our differences regarding Lavina Almy who you say married William Elliot and my Lavina Caroline Champlin, who has the same dates of birth and death as your Lavina Almy and who married William Elliot Almy.

(You disagreed with my assertion the Lavina was a Champlin).

My Lavina was the daughter of Oliver Champlin & Eunice Thurston Melville. According to the Oct 28, 1826 edition of the Newport Mercury newspaper, Lavina married William Ellery Almy (not William Ellery) in the First Baptist Church of Newport on Oct 23rd, Rev. Wheaton officiating.

They had three children that I know of: William Ellery Almy Jr. c1832-1853; Lavina Caroline Almy (1828-1830) and Lavina Caroline Almy (1832-1846).

William Elliot Almy Jr has Find A Grave memorial 122574370.
Lavina Caroline Almy (daughters) are 122572732 and 122572764, respectively.

I suspect that you have been mislead by a vague tombstone inscription that MIGHT have recorded "Lavina Almy, wife of George Ellery", which, if worded slightly differently might have meant: Mrs. Lavina Almy, wife of William Ellery Almy. That would explain how you created memorials for their children with the surname "Ellery" and not "Almy".

RE: Henry, Mary, Lorenz Kunz in Lakeside
Don't know why I put George on original note...

Anywho...

Here are links so you can access the digital images of Henry and Mary's obits. I transcribed the Albuquerque and Grand Rapids notes of Lorenz' death...

Mary Kunz
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1961-39458-14262-14?cc=2215693

Obit for Lorenz Kunz was in the Saturday, February 16, 1918, Albuquerque Journal, pg 8

L. E. Kunz, 30 years old, died yesterday morning at his apartment. He was a member of the staff of the Jamestown Lounge company at Jamestown, N.Y. before he came to Albuquerque. His wife was at his bedside when he died. Strong Brothers last night sent the body to Grand Rapids, Mich., his birthplace, for burial.

(My note: His marriage record (New York) and his WWI Draft Registration Card both have his birth place as Maple Grove, (Barry Co) Michigan)

Tuesday, February 19, 1918 Grand Rapids Press, Page: 24

Thank-you so very much for these photos. It looks as if it is important to save them in s photo. They seem to be wearing rapidly now. I sincerely appreciate the time you took out of your week-end to photograph and post these.

Thanks for letting me know about the duplicate. I posted her death Certificate on the original memorial and deleted my copy of the memorial. Have a great day.
