I have been actively involved in genealogy for 30 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the hunt. |
In addition to my own family, I've added memorials for people that I am not related to. These are most likely in Kentucky and Indiana. If one of these memorials is for your family member and you would like a transfer, please be sure to state your family relationship when requesting the transfer.
I'm always happy to make any corrections or additions to memorials. Please click on the Edit tab on the memorial when making a request.

What a great catch! Thank you so much for finding this. I guess I was over-zealous in finding so many of my Black relatives in the Greencastle papers - for free~ Brenda in Memphis

You are quite welcome! This cemetery was a little tough, as all the graves are footstones only.. I could only search two rows at a time. With stand up tombstones, I can search up to 10 rows at once, so the search here was more time consuming! I was only able to find half the requests, but yours was the second one I located.
Thanks for updating the memorial. Those links make this website so much more useful.

|Julie H||Walters in Shenandoah, VA|
Hi - are you researching the Walters in Shenandoah? I noticed you suggested some changes. I've for an Elizabeth Lehew who married a William Walters in 1818 that I've been trying to tract down. Husband, children, etc.
we think she might be the Elizabeth Walters that is in the poor house on the 1850 census - I rented the film of it, and there wasn't much except that she entered there in the 1830s. Any help or leads would be wonderful :-)

Would it be possible for you to provide me with a copy of the documents for the sources that you mentioned regarding Eden Martindale, Sarah (Stigleman) Martindale, Bessie (Martindale) Gause, Alpheus Martindale, and Ruth (Hoover) Martindale.
I'm coming up with a different date on one and not able to locate information in order to confirm some of the others.
