Levi and Mary Lease
Dear Ancestor,
Thanks for the headstone photo for Levi and Mary.
I'm researching the Lease family for my neice-in-law's family. This helps.

Re: William R. Nichelson
I checked and it is Billion Graves that has the wrong dates for Bill. They have 1893 - 1949. I don't know how to contact them to correct it so just left a note in the "personal history" section on his memorial. You have it correct on Find-a-Grave. :o)

RE: Mary M. Nichelson at Normalville
I have been researching my grandfather's family since July 1977 and am very thorough with my facts. I very clearly remember attending my great-uncle Bill Nichelson's funeral when I was 10 years old and then his widow remarried and her 2nd husband died. When Mom and I visited the cemetery and saw the new husband's stone also had Mary's name and birth date on it, I asked where she would be buried and Mom thought with Bill since he is the father of her two daughters. Now it seems she must have been buried with Charles and the stone was updated with her death year and someone forgot about adding the death date to Bill's stone. The find a grave program has been a big help in locating some missing persons in my files, but I find errors and omissions and try to correct them so all my research is not in vain. I am now compiling a book which will be distributed to my immediate family so they will know just who they are related to. I already did one for my grandmother's side of the family. BTW--I seem to recall that the wrong death year is on Bill's memorial. He died in 1948 -- not 1949. I know the shadow on the photo of the stone makes it difficult to read--but I know when he died. I have an uncle on my father's side of the family who died on my 11th birthday and that was after Uncle Bill's death. It's past 1:00 a.m. and I must get to bed so don't have time to go take another look, and don't know if you are managing Bill's memorial as well as Mary's, but it seems reasonable that you would be. Thanks for your help!

Mary M. Nichelson at Normalville
FYI Mary died in 1996. She remarried to Charles N. Greenawalt after the death of Bill and she is buried with Charles at Normalville. Her death date is very clear on that stone.

In your ventures in photographing in the cemetery, did you come across Nettie W. Bender? She was the wife of Joseph Christian Bender. Let me know:) Pam

RE: Pvt. Andrew J Ankeny
Quite honestly, I think research from home would be even harder without Find A Grave and people like you who make it possible! Thanks again!
