Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in Winslow, Arizona and spent many years in Texas. I now live in Salt Lake City and am retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and Delta Air Lines. Once I found out how many of my relatives had memorials on Find A Grave and how many more needed to be created, I was hooked.

Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

If you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please use the link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial.

I cannot say who is right but the tomb stones are in the Old Merriwether Cemetery. Are there also tomb stones in the cemetery you refer too?

Hello - for your information, Grace D Simpson Clark is the mother of Charles Carlock. This way you can link them together.

Thanks for posting these grave markers. Sandra

RE: Lively Hope
I found that Bernard married a Lottie Newman

Troy Lee Farris was born Mar 19 1926 in Simonton and died Jan 2 1954 in Glaveston, Texas

Bernard and Lottie also had a daughter who died at birth - unnamed July 25 1924

Cemetery is unknown on the record I found

RE: Lively Hope Cemetery
One more thought - down the road about 2 miles is another cemetery that has been re-done - fence around it and etc not sure of it's name - almost in downtown Fulshear now - that area is really growing

RE: Lively Hope Cemetery
What are their names?
I have an idea - call the minister and see if he has records - the church was locked up when I was there and alot of the markers in both those cemeteries had metal on them and it was taken a few years ago

I can go back over there and take more pictures if you would like

RE: Lively Hope Cemetery
I know there have been some destruction of a few small cemeteries in the area because they were never turned in as cemeteries.
There is a mostly black cemetery in Fulshear - about 4 miles from Simonton
There was a prison cemetery that has been plowed over also in Simonton

I am not from here but live here for 25 years - I will ask around
You can always create the cemetery on findagrave and list the people you know are buried there - it can always be documented as to location later
