Your work with findagrave
Thank you for your work in creating memorials and photographing headstones. As a genealogist you can imagine my delight at finding not only memorials but a photograph of the headstone of two of my ancestors. Your work is appreciated.

RE: Thomas Church Cemetery

Thank you for transferring Mom and my -g-g-grandparents to me.

I don't remember if I told you this, but Thomas/Christian Church Cemetery is listed as "Thomas." I think it is located in Smithfield Twp. in an area called "Riggs."

RE: Thomas Church Cemetery

Thomas/Christian Church Cemetery is located in Smithfield Twp., Bradford Co., PA. I do not see Zephaniah's burial listed in the current listings so I will add it shortly. I believe I have a photo of his headstone.

Martin Patrick Brennan
Please consider adding the following brief bio for the Martin Brennan who is buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Towanda:

According to his death certificate, Martin Patrick Brennan (1856-1932) was born on August 10, 1856 in the township of Standing Stone in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Andrew and Catherine Brennan. Both of Martin’s parents were born in Ireland. He was the fifth of probably eight of Andrew and Catherine’s children. Around 1879, Martin married a woman named Margaret Grace (1858-1938), who was born in Pennsylvania. By 1900, they had nine children, five sons and four daughters. The 1910 census tells us Margaret was the mother of thirteen children of whom eleven were living then, meaning the couple lost two children somewhere along the line. Martin was a farmer in 1900, and it appears he farmed all his life. Ten years later, when the 1910 census was taken, four sons and three daughters were still living at home. By 1920, this number had been reduced to three sons and two daughters. Sometime between then and the 1930 census, Martin and Margaret had moved to Towanda in Bradford County, and only one child, a daughter, was still at home then. The three were living at 17½ Huston Street. Obviously, no occupation was listed for seventy-three-year-old Martin. He died on December 27, 1932, presumably at his residence on Huston Street, and and the cause of death was reported as uremia with a contributing cause being hypertension. He was seventy six years, four months and eighteen days old at his passing. Margaret outlived Martin by some six years, dying in 1938. They are both buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Towanda, this also telling us they were Catholic. At least two of their children, both sons, are buried there also.

I tried changing the birth and death dates, but it wouldn't let me.

RE: John P Lamont
Helen: John P was my grandfather and I wish I could give you a straight answer to your question. In our family genealogy records - he was secretary of the records - he put his birth year as 1882. On his Spanish War enlistment, he put his DOB as April 2, 1880. On his WWI enlistment, he recorded his DOB as Jan 11, 1883. My uncles had 1882-1957 listed on the headstone: I have no idea what is correct at this time. Peggy Cook

Vischansky headstone @ SS Peter & Paul - Towanda PA
In September while visiting Saints Peter & Paul cemetery in Towanda Pa, I discovered a lovely headstone for Vischansky lying FLAT on the ground. It has been there some time. I went to the office, but it was closed. I do have pictures I would like to send. Would contact the family myself if only I knew how to. Mary Ellen Gabriel 813 759 0247
