Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am ever searching for my ancestors. Both our families are 12 generation Americans, some 13! Most German, Dutch and Native American. Surnames: Bechtel, Bechdel, Keffer, Keefer, DeHaas, Van Houten, Rohrbach ,Strouss, Houser, Lozier, Losier, Le Sueur Begraft, Slot. I have always been seeking their old headstones and cemeteries so I started "collecting" photos years ago. Now, I finally have a place to help people find those long lost graves. I am earnestly trying to photograph the numerous very old graves scattered about my area of Central Pennsylvania. Many a brave pioneer family headstone will be lost to ravages of time. I've been known to commit various acts of genealogy kindness. Willing to headstone hunt in Union, Snyder, Northumberland, Lycoming and parts of Centre Counties. Contact me with any ?s, corrections or requests. Presently trying to start getting all the churches to transcribe their records for better availability as well as historical document preservation techniques. Help is needed. If you see my name on a cemetery photo, then it is accessible to me and I may have more information, feel free to ask. IF I HAVE ENTERED OR PHOTOGRAPHED YOUR ANCESTORS, PLEASE write me, I can give you "ownership" of their memorial here! Follow the guidelines and I need the memorial # and your member number.

Memorial Transfer
Thank you so much for transferring my great aunt, Leona C. McCloskey's memorial to me. A sincere thank you for your work in adding memorials to F-A-G. Because of your kindness and generosity I was able to locate and visit Aunt Leona's gravesite. Your work is much appreciated. Bless you!

Mary Keefer
I am tracing my brother-in-law's family (he is a McGinnes). His 2G-grandmother was Mary Keefer who was married to J. McGinness and who together had a son named James McGinnes b.14 April 1838. He lived in Pottsville, Schuylkill County, when he joined the Army in 1861. I noticed that one of the grave stones you have found is for a Mary Keefer who could possibly be that Mary. I would greatly appreciate any information, or leads you might have.

Matthew Irwin
leanne,

Hi, My name is John Barnhart, originally from Montgomery, PA (parents out of centre co.). Anyway, I'm looking for info on Matthew Irwin, buried in Christ Lutheran Church cemetery. Do you have a picture of his headstone and/or that of his wife?

Thank you,
John

Thanks so much for uploading another picture of this headstone.

Is there any way I can get a newer version of this picture without the vegetation in front of it so I can see the dates?

Thank you so much for your time!

Photo added to Thomas Neville
Is it possible the photo of the tombstone you added to Thomas Neville #6155474 belongs to Thomas N Neville #6155450? Your photo shows a definite N for the middle name. Thomas N Neville is my Great Uncle. I know it does not show the dates of birth and death but they are Nov. 22, 1836 as his birth and June 12, 1875 as his date of death. He was killed by a falling tree. Thank you for your consideration in this matter and for the photo. Also thank you for all the work and photos you have taken and added. Elsie Neville Goodrich

I am working on a DAR application and in desperate need of a transcription of the Pine Street Cemetery. Since there is no stone for David, I am guessing that you might be able to point me in the right direction. Please help.

Leanne, when I read the lower left hand date on this mans' stone for whom you were the photographer, it doesn't look to me like what is popularly thought to be his date of birth. Can you clarify that date for me? I'm hoping it will be "crisper" for you. Thank you, Anne Wagner #48239969
