RE: Alpha Etta Berryhill
I am working on my daughter-in-laws' family. Her grandmother was a Guin. Her fourth great grandfather was Holdon Guin. Holdon's sister, Holly Guin, married William Lucas. Their first child was Mary Catherine Lucas who married William Wesley Gosa. Some say they married 20 May 1869 but I have never seen the source for that date. Alpha Etta was born in 1867 so I understand the doubt about who the father was.

Alpha Etta Berryhill
Hi Bryan,
I gather you have some information indicating that Alpha Etta is not the daughter of William Wesley Gosa. Would you please share it with me.

Cemetery office confirmed that this burial is unmarked

Thank you for putting her Memorial on Find A Grave
Suggestion; you might put on memorial that the grave is unmarked so others don't attempt to request photo

Death Record Transcript
Hi Bryan,
I have used your transcript of death records for Calvi Risorta in past years via the Family Search web site. They no longer allow you some one to view this record at home, only at a research center. I do not have a center close to me. Is this work published or available anywhere else so that I may continue to use and cite it?

Best regards and your work is greatly appreciated.

Cimitero Calvi Risorta
Many MANY thanks for posting the images of the DeMatteo family in the cemetery in Calvi Risorta Italy. I now have photos of the graves of my grandfather's youngest brother, as well as those of his children. More importantly, because images of the deceased were cemented to the headstones, I can see the faces of these family members for the first time.I will credit you on the copies I make of these stones. Thanks so very much.

Thank you for your work and dedication on FIND A
The tombstone on Daniel Fortney shows his birth year is 1817, the picture on his wife Christina shows it very clearly and not 1813, I love it when they get the pictures of the stones, so much info.
Doesn't mean there aren't mistkake, so if you have info on his birth as in 1813 and not 1817 please let us know

Gettis burials in Manor Hill Methodist Cemetery
Just to clarify the Gettis burials in the Manor Hill Methodist Cemetery. Mary Ann and Robert are both children of Patrick and Victoria (if you look more closely at the inscription on Mary Ann's stone it states daughter of P & V (not N). Robert was killed in the Civil War. Elizabeth is listed as the wife of Robert but not the Robert buried there. That Robert is her grandson, but her husband (burial unknown) was also named Robert and they are the parents of Patrick (buried there). Elizabeth was born in Ireland. The US Census report for 1860 lists Elizabeth as "mother" in Patrick's household. IGI listing indicates Elizabeth (Daugherty) and Robert Gettis were the parents of Patrick.
