13 May 2014: I am getting too many e-mails giving me information that I have no idea what to do with, requests for edits that make no sense, supposed duplicates but no FAG #'s, etc. I am fairly good at what I do but (unless you are my husband) a mind reader I am not. If you send me something, please explain what you want done with it, add FAG numbers to people you want edited. Please use the EDIT link for names,dates and linking. If you have no e-mail in your profile, I am going to delete the e-mail sent to me.|
I was was born and raised in Marshfield, WI. I have been deeply involved in genealogy for over 20 years. Along with research, I have also run a Family History Center and taught classes. I am willing to do research for most requests. I am well located for Wood, Clark, Marathon and Taylor counties. Lincoln and Portage are also near by.
This is my system for doing cemeteries. I have a government job that has strange hours and erratic appointment times. I have learned to carry a camera and area cemetery maps with me at all times. I may have minutes or hours in between things so that may determine how many pictures get taken. I take a picture of every stone as time allows including cleaning up the really nasty ones. I do look over the requests but do not "claim" them because I don't know when I will get them downloaded so that may explain why "requests" are filled "hit and miss". (It's also really to hard to see all those tiny photos in my program to pick and chose certain ones!)I have taken as few as 200 pictures to 800+ per cemetery visit depending on time and the size of the cemetery. I multi-task in front of the TV at night.
Please feel free to use my photos anyway you want. I believe in sharing. No special request is needed.
Also I do not care if you use my personal e-mail to contact me about edits but PLEASE include the name, cemetery and FAG number. I have been getting too many e-mails without this info and since the majority of my contributions are complete strangers to me, it is hard to respond properly with out this info.
Feel free to ask for transfers. Except for my own family I have no special attachment to the 1000's of photos I have taken. I think the comedian Rodney Dangerfield said "Take them, PLEASE, they're mine!"
Recently, I made an observation--Delete and Deliver both begin with "de" which explains why when I am tired I may hit the wrong one so if I don't respond or make an edit try again. I also noted that other words begin with "de" like dementia, demented, delusional and delirium, which explains the rest of me.

Thank you for trying letting me know that Gottlieb Westphal isn't in the cemetery index. Maybe he is at the other cemetery with his family members. I will ask the person who made the memorial about it.

|Ken Smith||LUCY JANE HESFORD|
Kathleen, thank you so much for the very nice photo of Lucy Jane's headstone. I was planning to make a trip through Wisconsin, looking for graves, and you have saved me one stop.

I do not know if the Chandler's have grave markers, their burial information was included in their death records. If you happen the find markers, the pictures would be wonderful! Are you related? Thank you for all you do for FindAGrave.

Kathleen, just wanted to thank you for adding the info I sent on some memorials you created for the Wausau Hebrew Cemetery. It's important to the Wisconsin Jewish community that its history be uncovered and shared with future generations and Find A Grave work is certainly part of it. Thanks again!

|Joseph Edward Merle||Henry Lutzke|
Good Morning Kathleen;
Henry Lutzke has 2 listings; 106506065, St. Michael Cemetery and 106519149, Pine Grove Cemetery. Which cemetery is headstone located? Or, does cemetery have 2 names?
Would like to link with relatives. Will wait for your response.
Joseph E Merle
|Earl Pagel||Elsie Zemke|
Thank you for the transfer, she is now linked to her ancestors and I see she was my cousin 1x removed.

I sometimes wonder if some of the "Damaged" stones were just older stones that were already fallng apart and it was just convienent to blame the thugs to elaborate the story a bit.
Strange...I pulled the info straight from the horse's mouth. Who knows, perhaps the story was embellished. I guess this will have to remain a mystery. Anyway, I deleted the story on that correction you sent this morning.
|Tammy Etienne||RE: Karee (Mullis) Mattern|
That is what is confusing to me Kathleen. Her obit states that, but yet someone on this site has her listed at the one that you were so kind as to check for me...do you have any clue as to why someone would list her at the one you checked?
Thank you so much for your input and if you need any assistance in the Kewaunee county, WI area please let me know.
