I am a fifth generation Oregonian but currently live in Winchester, Virginia. I am active in the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and work to repair, replace, or mark the graves of Civil War veterans buried in Oregon. In 2009 we completed renovation of the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Portland including the replacement of a bronze statue stolen more than forty years ago. In 2007 we completed renovation of the G.A.R. burial plot in the Eugene Pioneer Cemetery.|
The picture is of my son Andrew and I at the Portland G.A.R. Cemetery for the dedication ceremony on May 30, 2009.

I am not related, I thought you were, since you had provided such a wonderful memorial for him. The person who added his photo for me, also created a memorial for his wife. Thanks, again.
|The Angel Hunter||Wiltfong family|
You added a picture of Enoch and Julia Wiltfong and their baby Myrtle to Julia & Enoch's memorial pages. I have linked the baby myrtle's memorial to her parents. Perhaps you will want to add the picture again to Myrtle's page? Her memorial # is 30919740

Nice job on this memorial. I'm pleased to see that others are diligent about tracking down the information that makes Find A Grave such a great source of information. Rather than put up a record for "Joe Jones, born Unknown, died unknown", (and pad the numbers of records uploaded) your research and dedication to preservation of details is much admired.

Thank you so much for helping to honor Levi Pridmore, for his service during the Civil War, by placing a marker on his grave. You offer a wonderful service, and I want you to know that I deeply appreciate your efforts.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the transfer of the above to family management. You are an honorable man for posting so many civil war veterans and I know they and the families deeply appreciate it. Bless you and your loved ones on this Thanksgiving Day!
