I have always been interested in my family history. |
In the 1820's my ancestors moved to the Passadumkeag River region in Penobscot County, Maine and lived there for the next 130 years. My research have centered on the towns of Grand Falls, Burlington, Lowell, Enfield and Passadumkeag.
Last year 2014 and in May of this year 2015 I took photo's of all the headstones in West Broadway Cemetery in Lincoln, Maine and have added to and created memorials for that cemetery.
In June of this year 2015 I took about 1500 pictures in Park Street Cemetery Lincoln, Maine which is across Park Street/Avenue from West Broadway Cemetery. I am finding many duplicates and memorials already set up in West Broadway Cemetery. So far I have had good luck having the memorials moved. I believe most of this happened because obituaries just say Lincoln Cemetery for these two cemeteries. Park Street Cemetery is the newer section and most of the new burials are happening there. In August I finished taking pictures in Park street cemetery and added them to Park Street Cemetery.

Thank you for the photo of Mr. Lowell's headstone, located in Howland Cemetery. I read your profile and would like to take a minute to thank you for giving us this enormous amount of work. Volunteers such as yourself, who actually 'tread the sod' and take photos of old stones that are barely legible, are the backbone of findagrave. In my book, you're a 'Master Graver'!

Hi Abe I have a request for you. My great aunt is Susan Elise Deprey, daughter of Marcel Despres # 63383641 and Marie Anastasie St. Germain-Cureau. I had posted a findagrave memorial for her family years ago and would like to connect her with the family but the woman who has her listed with your photo of the stone does not accept messages so I can not contact her. I was wondering if you could post your photo on my memorial which has so much more family info. I think that if someone volunteers for findagrave they should allow people to contact them in order to merge names and cause less confusion. Anyways, what can I do. I hope that you will help me. I don't have a number for her yet, since I will add her as soon as I finish this message to you but you will find her under her parents. Thanks you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to send valuable information for his memorial. It is greatly appreciated by me and certainly will be valuable for future generations. I appreciate working with Find A Grave people like yourself who willingly share information with others. Again, thank you.....

I am hoping to connect with descendants of William and Jane (Stewart) Carrington for a family tree project. Thanks for the photos of the monument.
If you are related to the Carringtons or you know of anyone I'd appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you so much for providing birth and death locations for Samuel. We hope to have better photos of his stone before snow arrives, but we may have to wait until spring, whenever that will be!
