We have been researching our family histories for over 35 years. It is such a wonderful and never-ending endeavor as we document our past.|
Our main families are Sawyer, Ford, Hudman, Roberts, Kimbrough, Drew. We have some family histories and cemetery pictures on our web site and invite you to browse through it. Who knows? You might find someone you did not even know you were looking for.

I am looking for a William Sawyer that was married to Martha Chambers. Any of your bunch?
|Bonnie Sisson Manning||Etta Mae Hersey Sawyer Yeldell & Thomas Yeldell|
I think I've finally put together the pieces as to who Thomas Yeldell was.
As you've mentioned, he lived nearby in the McGinty are as noted in the census reports.
Etta Mae "Alice" Hersey Sawyer Yeldell was his first wife. She died in 1912. They had no children.
Thomas Ashberry Yeldell was the son of Alice McDonald and Willis Ashberry Yeldell (both buried in Bartholomew Cemetery - Morehouse Parish) He is mentioned in Bartholomew's Song on page 335. He married Lillie McCain who was 24 years younger than he was. He met her in 1903 when he was 36 (she was 12). They married 15 years later in 1918. Thomas is buried in Union Ridge Cemetery.
If you come up with something else, let me know.

Find A Grave Memorial# 73452845-according to the history, Chilton County, Alabama was constituted as a county in 1868 so anyone dying before that would have died in another county-Dr. H. Lafayette Goodwin would have died in Bibb County, I believe. He was born in Bibb County as well. I have not looked at other postings but just thought you might want to change the county for those dying before 1868 and listed in Chilton County. I realize the cemetery would now be in Chilton County though.

Do you have any idea who Etta "Alice" Hersey Sawyer Yeldell married? I think I've made memorial for just about every Yeldell I can find in Morehouse Parish. Any clues would be appreciated.
This morning I've been working on MY version of the SAWYER/McGinty cemetery with your correctsions. I put this Find A Grave cemetery together as a favor for a man in Baton Rouge. He'd discovered one of my Mer Rouge Cemetery memorials and offered info and pictures. He then volunteered the info that he had a grandmother in the McGinty Cemetery. Since I didn't see a McGinty Cemetery listed, I made my own.
I now understand that it is officially the SAWYER cemetery. I tried to fix my mine ... I will go through all my entries and refer everyone to the SAWYER Cemetery.
Hope this helps.
I work from both volumes of The Family History Club's Known Burials of Morehouse Parish. I'd happily share any info I have with you.

|Bonnie Sisson Manning||I also made a McGinty Cemetery|
I'm Bonnie and I took the info in Known Burials of Morehouse Parish and made a McGindy Cemetery a while back. For the life if me, I can't change the name of it.
Your Sawyer cemetery has wonderful pictures and I believe I've probably made many of the same relationship links.
I've also added various bits of information that I've picket up in Rebecca DeArmond-Huskey's "Bartholowmew's Song" and other books.
If you want, you can take what is additional info out of my McGinty Cemetery and I'll attempt to delete it afterwards.

Charlene, I have transferred your grandparents' memorials over to you!
I have documented numerous other Hudman's at Shiloh Cemetery, so if you come across any others that you want transferred, I will be happy to do so.
Have a nice day!
