I have been an active member of findagrave a lot longer than this bio reflects. I am no novice. I first joined under a nickname some years ago. Because of health reasons, I had to leave for a while, but I'm back. |
I love taking cemetery pictures. I try to present them as I actually see them in the cemetery. I don't "fix" them. #1 because they should look natural and #2 because I'm probably not talented enough. I do try to clean the markers up (if possible) before I take the picture. If you see a stone for your family member that needs repair, please contact the cemetery and make a request, most will gladly fix it at no charge.
I've been an avid genealogist with over 40 years experience and would love to hear from you.
In the event you are no longer able to care for your memorials, please think of transfering them to someone who has been on FAG for some time so you know they will be well managed. Unfortunately, there are so many memorials on FAG without managers due to many reasons. Maybe a fallen graver, or the creator/manager may no longer have time or has health issues, all memorials need someone available to add information or transfer. It is so frustrating to try and contact a memorial manager and there is no response.
All transfers must be requested through the edit button on the memorial and I follow the Findagrave guidelines. There are few exceptions. Don't jump on Findagrave and try to start collecting your relatives, I will turn you down "flat" until you are an established contributor. Contributor means just that, you must be contributing. I'm sorry, I've had a number of bad experiences.
I'm sorry, I've had to remove my email address as someone is using it in an abusive way.

|Becky||John Preston Lowry|
If John P Lowry's parents are Anderson Lowry & Catherine Niblack then he is my great great uncle. His brother would be my gr grandfather George Washington Lowry #28297709. Perhaps we could make a notation that they are siblings? I don't know if I have any further documentation for other siblings. I was able to link all of George Washington Lowry's children to their parents and from there down I have our family linked.
John Preston Lowry is #14385788
I wish I could find Anderson & Catherine. I did find Anderson's father Thomas Lowry memorial #104958024 & Anderson's mother Nancy Dedmon Lowry #104958045.

I have deleted this memorial four times. I have not idea why it keeps coming back. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=142346869

Thank you for the quick edit! She was my grandmother and I appreciate all that you do!

I would remove those last 2 paragraphs, either I was tired and typed wrong, or the newspaper messed up. Good catch!

Thank you for your persistence attempts at getting this photo. You are very much appreciated!

Thank you for transferring Pam's Find A Grave Memorial to me. I loved her very much. She died of cancer, literally in most of her body. She even had an unoperable tumor in her brain. She was a Christian and had a very loving heart. She was married with two children that she loved very much. They are grown now with children of their own. May the Lord Bless and keep you and all of us who try to "share" and keep memories alive for all those who are left behind. Again, Thank You. Marolyne Jean Rone-Spence, Oklahoma City OK
