If the inscription is correct, the gravestone posted to this memorial is actually his son's gravestone.

I am investigating these questions on behalf of Barbara Dewhurst Harty. She is a granddaughter of Joseph W. Dewhurst. As far as I know, she and her sister are his only surviving grandchildren. I've been helping her with the online searching.
Last weekend Barbara and I visited William and Hannah's grave in Rindge which were able to locate from your post so thanks for that. There is a plaque on the grave which unfortunately is no longer legible. I was interested that there is a flag and medallion of the Women's relief corps although as far as I know he wasn't a veteran.
Barbara's father is Rudolph Dewhurst. It seems interesting that his name and that of his brother Joseph Conrad seem to be linked somehow to Conrad Rodolphus Converse who would have been Joseph's brother-in-law.
How are you related to William and Hannah? If you are interested in the descendants of Joseph W. I can supply you with such information as I have.

I am interested in information on William Dewhurst and Hannah Davenport Dewhurst. Particularly, is Joseph W. Dewhurst (1849-1907) (of Stoneham, MA) their son?
Josephs sons were Dwight Davenport, Rudolf and Joseph Conrad.
Do you know anything about the ancestors of William and Hannah?
