Hi, Tami, & Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours...Before I head off for the feast, I wanted to give you a kudos for attaching George's death certificate, which did not come up during my computer research...I am in fact researching the Colden family, which is why I am aware George was born in Canada (1860,1870 & 1900 Census records corroborate, along with his 1910 Census record giving an 1857 yr. of immigration)...As I continue to connect up the family, be additionally aware George's Dad, James, at this juncture appears to have been a Civil War Veteran (& his Mom Hannah a Civil War Veteran's Widow per her 1890 Census record)...& George does have multiple siblings in this same locale, once I am able to carefully connect them up...& no, I am not related, but rather researching Veterans who do not appear to be being paid attention to by descendants...Regards from a fellow volunteer

Maple Grove Cemetery
Someone brought to my attention that there are two Maple Grove Cemeterys, same location on the map, where there should only be one.

I consulted a county map and found out the following: The correct one is Maple Grove Cemetery, Layton Corners, Saginaw County, Michigan.

The incorrect one is Maple Grove Cemetery, New Lothrop, Shiawassee County, Michigan.

While the little town of New Lothrop is in Shiawassee, this cemetery is several miles north of this town and definitely is in Layton Corners, SAGINAW county. It looks like you listed and photographed this cemetery in 2009.

Not finding it under Saginaw County, I listed and photographed the entire cemetery in 2011.
If you would correct the town and county, I will delete my 100 plus memorials. I don't want to do so until it is listed under the correct county.
Regards, Sheila
