Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised and work in northern Virginia. I'm a 65 year old Federal Government employee with 41 years of service. Almost ten years after its inception, I found this site quite by accident when a co-worker asked me to help him at lunch time take a photograph of a headstone that was overgrown with bushes. After that, I was hooked fulfilling photo requests, primarily at nearby Arlington National Cemetery.

Then it occurred to me that this would be a great place (free (thus far)) to document my family tree for all to see, which would be based on the extensive genealogical research that my aunt has been doing for the past 15 to 20 years. This project of linking thousands of memorials is going to take a very long time (if it's at all possible) to complete due to several memorial creators, totally unrelated to my family, who will neither transfer ownership nor respond to SAC edits. That is not to say that all memorial creators are like that. Indeed, most are very gracious and totally responsive, and for that, I whole-heartedly thank them.

If I have a memorial for one of your relatives, I'll gladly transfer ownership upon request. If you make your transfer request via SAC edit and after two days I haven't made the transfer, please email me directly or leave a public message here on this page.

You have my permission to use any of my photos, as long as you include attribution. (You don't need to ask.)

William and Loretta Harper Huston
Thank you for the beautiful photos at Arlington for William and Loretta Harper Huston! I have been to Arlington a few times, and my dad was just there last month. Do you have to have permission to walk off of the concreted paths? I always thought you did. I have actually come across several people in my research (a couple my actual bloodline) that are buried here. Thanks for your great work!

Arlington Cemetery
I posted a picture of one of your McInturff relatives and you sent a message thanking me. I have just now read your bio profile. I, too, work for the fed govt in Northern Virginia and would like to know how you find the graves in Arlington. There are several that I would like to photograph, but don't know where to look to get to the actual headstone. Can you give me some guidance?

There's a bit more in book McMinn and Its People.
First wife of John, Nancy, must have died abt 1870. Second wife Ann, then Polly.
