I was born and raised and work in northern Virginia. I'm a 64 year old Federal Government employee with 41 years of service. Almost ten years after its inception, I found this site quite by accident when a co-worker asked me to help him at lunch time take a photograph of a headstone that was overgrown with bushes. After that, I was hooked fulfilling photo requests, primarily at nearby Arlington National Cemetery.|
Then it occurred to me that this would be a great place to document my family tree for all to see, which would be based on the extensive genealogical research that my aunt has been doing for the past 15 to 20 years. This project of linking thousands of memorials is going to take a very long time (if it's at all possible) to complete due to several memorial creators, totally unrelated to my family, who will neither transfer ownership nor respond to SAC edits. That is not to say that all memorial creators are like that. Indeed, most are very gracious and totally responsive, and for that, I whole-heartedly thank them.
If I have a memorial for one of your relatives, I'll gladly transfer ownership upon request. If you make your transfer request via SAC edit and after two days I haven't made the transfer, please email me directly or leave a public message here on this page.
You have my permission to use any of my photos, as long as you include attribution.

Thanks for searching. His family was sure he was at Arlington and a descendant created the memorial.
But I did see a note on his Civil War record that states he was buried on the battlefield at Winchester - although his name is not yet on Find A Grave for Winchester National Cemetery.

Thank you so much for the simply gorgeous photos you took of Don and Joy's stones at Arlington National Cemetery. I am so thrilled to see them on the memorial pages. The photo with the Christmas wreath is so touching! Thank you a million for going out in the freezing weather to get these for us!!
Gratefully, Wendy McIntosh
|Melissa Miner||Necia Myers|
Hello. I am wondering if you have any information about Necia McIntruff Myers. Since you share her maiden name I am assuming you are related in some fashion. She was married to my grandfather, Robert Ivan Morris and had a child with him, Robert Lee Morris. We always heard stories that she had died tragically when my uncle was very little. Needless to say I was never able to find any death record for her. Well after many years of research I finally realized that she did not die when all my family members thought, and she simply re-married Mr. Myers. I am just curious if you have any information as to what may have happened between the two? I have never been able to find any divorce record between her and my grandfather. If you have any information it would be very appreciated. Thank you very much.

David, Thank you so much for the beautiful picture of my mother's grave. I and my siblings live on the west coast in Oregon and California and so we do not often have a chance to visit our dear moma and daddy's grave. Your picture of my mama's grave stone was the best Christmas present I could have recieved. I have shared it with my brothers and sisters and we are all so grateful. May you have a blessed Christmas season and a prosperous New Year. Anamaria Bustamante
