I am the current Executive Director of the Casey Family Assn. Inc.; compiling and researching the Casey family history since 1992, and personally since circa 1982.|
Our particular Clan Casey, even prior to 1725, when it first arrived on American shores, has been predominately Scots-Irish Protestants in faith and loyalties. No offense to Casey clans of other persuasions.
US Navy veteran: CTR3 (Communications Technician, R-brancher), USN (1967-1971). I'm looking for any and all former NSG Hakata, Japan CTs.
I support transfers to known relatives! After all, who is better qualified to manage a memorial than someone with a caring, kinship interest. However, please be somewhat specific in your requests. "This is a relative's memorial" will not suffice in the future. If you're only third cousins, five times removed, please just let me know. I'll probably transfer. Unfortunately, it only takes a few to make the majority of good contributors look bad.
And please let me know if you wish any of my photos removed. Especially the temporary grave markers, in lieu of permanent.
Stop by and pay a visit to my hero dad, Sgt. Raymond L. Casey.
"Our Country! In her intercourse with foreign nations may she always be in the right; but right or wrong, our country!" Stephen Decatur.

Thank you so much for the work you've done. Would it be okay if I add this pic to my Ancestry page?

|Bren||RE: Resurrection: O'TOOLE|
Hi Thanks for your help, here is what I have on the other 2 sisters of Jack
1) Patricia Jane O'Toole b 14 Apr 1923 in Duluth, St. Louis, MN, d 6 Oct 2006 OKC married a John Zaikis in Calumet City, Illinois, USA 1945 or 1946 Jack's wife said she is suppose to be in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA but I couldn't find anything in that cemetery, county of OK either. She does have a daughter Jennifer Zaikis Birdsong that is also buried there, I did find her to get the info.
2) Rita Jean O'Toole Rookey, b 3 Feb 1927 in Duluth, St. Louis, MN, married Thomas "Tom" Rookey ? but it does say Superior, WI, just no date. She died 7 Apr 1994 in Long Beach, Los Angeles, California, USA but is suppose to be buried in OKC. That's all I could find on her and got that some years ago when some of the people were alive or their memories were better.
Hope that helps to see if you can find them in Resurrection at the office, maybe there is no headstone. No one ever mentioned they remarried, I know Rita died from strokes and Pat and Jack did things with the family, in 1969 I was visiting OKC and met Patricia Jane O'Toole Zaikis's son Anthony, he was getting married.
Hope that helps

|Bren||Patricia Jane O'Toole Zaikis & Sister Rita Jane Rookey|
My Uncle John Arthur"Jack" O'Toole and his mother Ernestine O'Leary O'Toole are buried in Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, USA.
I was told by my Aunt that both Rita and Pat are in the same cemetery but I can't find any record of them.
Since you take the pictures could you possibly check the records and let me know if they are in Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, USA or some other cemetery in OKC.
I'm doing genealogy and since the family was Roman Catholic I don't know if either of the sisters remarried and have different names but their maiden names were O'Toole and the parents were John Milton "Marty" O'Toole and Ernestine Marie O'Leary O'Toole. I'd sure appreciate any help and you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Your welcome, Thank You for creating this record. I will try to add more info as I get it from my Dad and Uncle on their father if that's okay.
|Patricia Watts||Thought I lost you|
Hi Mike- I thought I had lost you forever. Several years ago you helped me when I was looking for my Edgeman grandfather who disappeared never to be found. Marian Bethel connected us and I've been grateful ever since! We never found anyone who knew my grandfather's whereabouts but we solved a mystery along the way. And through you I found my rich Casey heritage.
My latest joy was to find that the National Park Service had printed the book "Old Folks Talking"... What a treasure for Edgeman/Edgmon/Casey researchers. Beautifully done.
I can't figure out how you popped up when I was actually looking for my Blanton ancestors on Find A Grave but I'm glad you did.
Pat from SC
PS I don't know if you remember but the Caseys were only about 3 miles from my SC home before they moved on to Arkansas.

Mike, I am new to this site and think it is awesome. Louise (Margaret)was my stepfather's sister and I wanted the family links to be as complete as I could make them. Thanks so much for all you've done and do here!
