I have been into genealogy and walking cemeteries since 2006. One side of my family comes from southern Iowa/Northern Missouri (Wayne County and Mercer County) via Pennsylvania (Hempfield, West Moorland). The other side from Norway to Bode in Humboldt County, Iowa. Those Norwegians are hard to figure out! I also have roots in Greene County and scattered around the state. I would be happy to go to any cemeteries in central Iowa when time permits, just let me know where and who I am looking for and I will get there as soon as I can. I am also willing to look up information needed on a person at the local libraries when I go. I keep a list of requests and will be happy to add more. |
If I have added a memorial for your family and that person is not in mine, I am willing to transfer.

I guess I'm not doing the edit thing correctly. You have George linked to the correct parents. So I deleted the names of his parents, I didn't know it would show them as unknown, & only added the name of his wife, which you had but they weren't linked. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Thank you for the photo of Edwin Shahan's headstone. I really appreciate it. This is a late thank you. I should have thanked you in June.

|Don Niven||Gladys Niven|
Thank you for your kind work on behalf of my Aunt Gladys. I will try and make it there someday. It is an outstanding tombstone for such a small young person. Daniel Niven and Minnie Anderson Niven were her parents and she had 10 brothers and sisters. Daniel died young and we never knew this existed. Thank you so much!
|James Odland||Donna Marie (Odland) Underwood|
Thank you for photographing Donna' grave marker and adding it to her memorial page.
I believe she is related to me, although I don't know how she is positioned on my family tree.
Thank you for the photos.
