RE: William Drake
You're welcome! Interesting about his birthplace, and yes, so many folks had their reasons for "changing history", haha, that it is sometimes difficult to disprove rather than prove. Sure is nice you have the ship's log and it is a helpful addition to his memorial.

RE: Noah William Drake
So terrific to hear from you!! I would love to have a picture of Grandma Drake. E-mail is Grandma was called Aunt Ellie. No one ever talked about Grandpa Drake. Some trivia about Grandma Drake. She was raised as Catholic, but apparently never was crazy about that religion. For many years she belonged to Dunkard, Brethern type churches. We found her lace bonnet in our Mother's things. Agnes Marie was oldest child of my Uncle Andrew and his wife, Bertha. Do you know if any of their children are still alive? I saw Bill and Andrew at Agnes Marie's funeral, but don't know about Florence Ellen. I guess you have seen Bob Drake's headstone on my site.

RE: Noah William Drake
Good morning Cousin - I am not ignoring you, I am just slow. James E. Lyons and Sarah Catherine Clarke arrived in Boston from Ireland on or about April 6, 1853. There were five known children born of their marriage. James and Sarah are my great grandparents. My grandmother, Mary Ellen Lyons was 4th born of their 5 children. Mary Ellen Lyons married Frederick Mathias Drake, Jr. All I know about my Grandfather Drake is that he could walk into a grove of trees and tell how much lumber was there for whatever purpose needed. My Grandparents Drake had 8 children - Noah William was 5th born; Florence Margaret was 8th born and was my Mother. She was known Margaret or Peg. My Uncle Noah Drake enlisted on May 2, 1918 at Ft Thomas, Kentucky in the Army during WW 1, assigned to Butchery Company, 316 Quartermaster Corp. Uncle Noah was Honorably Discharged on September 20, 1919 as a Private. All that means is I am a proud 3rd generation Irish-American. Grainne is Grace in Gaelic. On a more sad side, Are you aware that our Cousin Agnes Marie Drake died July 14, 2012; Doris Jean Siders, Conley died October 2013?
I hope this information is helpful. Do you know the ship name and/or actual date my Great Grandparents Lyons arrived in Boston? Will appreciate any information you would like to share with me. Thanks for keeping in touch. Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2015.

Thank you for Jacob Snavely graveyard photo
Thank you for Jacob Snavely graveyard photo

I believe this is him:
Jacob Schnebeli
1710 May 1781

This is my ancestor and I would like to know more about the burial ground photographed. If you know more information such as where it's at and any more tombstones in the graveyard I would be interested in learning more.

Thank you,

Warren Boyer, Jr
Thank you! There was question on the dates on this one (had to make a few days adjustment on the DOB) but this clearly shows there ARE two Warren Boyers in there. By all means, add Sr. in! You found him. And appreciate the offer to take a closer photo - but no need. That marker is clear as a bell in the photo you took. Appreciate you taking the time to resolve another question!
