Thank you for posting this photo. Did you know it posted three times? It is a very nice shot. Did you happen to notice if his wife Ada had a marker yet? She just passed in the fall of 2015 and I had not photo requested her yet.

Thanks again!

Heather

RE: Lear Family Members
I have been trying to generate interest before the truck stop goes in. I live too far away to make too many waves, since I "hit and run" the area a couple times a year. It would be a great Eagle Scout project, but only pack 101 is left at Oakwood School in Hannibal, and I'm not sure about the New London area. I have gotten copies of the cemetery trust from Tom Ruhl, and I haven't found where the trust has been dissolved, but I honestly haven't had time to search all of the records properly. The clerk and her assistant (and I cannot recall their names right now, even though I know them better than not) let me come and go as I please, and even let me make free copies. Even Marylee Lemon and I have done lunch a few times. She is a hoot, but she knows her history. I'll be down for a few days on May 11-13, but gone again until November. I won't get any Ralls CO cemetery work done this spring.

I enjoy hearing from you. Please stay in contact.

Lear Family Members
Hi, Gary. I read Mary Lou's article on the Turner Cemetery tonight. Intriguing. There are Lear burials at the Flowerree Cemetery in Ralls county as well, if Patty is interested. I have pictures of the stones. They were on a Lake stone, so I put the last name as Lake, but I could be mistaken. I put them on Find A Grave. Check out Frank Lear.

Oh, I drug Mary Lou to the Old New London Cemetery, too. It was an adventure!!

RE: Smith's in Marion Co..
They are distant relatives of mine that I have never met before and would love to talk to them and piece together some of my family history. Would you be willing to give my information to Doris so that I may pick her brain to find out some missing pieces of my family history? It would mean so much to me.

I show a Henry Leslie that was born Jan 25 1937 to Charles William Smith and Vadia Vivian Smith.

I am happy to hear that Doris Ilene Hathaway is still with us.

You know so much about them. Do you know of them personally?

Thanks so much for your help!!!

RE: Cissna Farm Cemetery
Gary, been so sick that I have not been very wordy with my answers. So I'll start again :-)

No, I have not been to this cemetery. I found it listed in the Cemetary Database | Marion County Library Subdistrict # 1 website. I am trying to locate where it is via "cyber space" so I can mark the map. Already received an email that one of the women that I have buried there never lived in Missouri--go figure!!! Anyway, hope your have managed to stay away from all the "bad bugs" out there!! No fun--went from one kine right into another--bummer!!!!

Take care,
Pam
