Bio Photo I enjoy photographing cemeteries to create a record for future generations, and helping others with their research.

If you have any questions about the cemeteries I entered from a transcription, please contact me. I will gladly let you know who is buried next to the person you have a question about, or verify any information I have entered. I do try to enter the data correctly, but typos and duplications can occur. I always appreciate corrections being brought to my attention, and will quickly correct them.

If you are not familiar with FAG's obit guidelines, please read them in the FAQ section. I will post current obits, but will remove all names of those living due to security concerns.

Find A Grave Memorial# 90442585
Hi,
Been doing some research on the small cemetery in Folkston, GA. You have it listed as Methodist Church Cemetery, Folkston, GA. In my looking please see if you agree that the cemetery is actual named
Layton/Leigh Cemetery (see page 34 in Table D-12, Charlton County Historic Cemeteries1718 see my link below) http://www.dca.ga.gov/largefiles/OPQG/2010/Charlton%20Co_Folkston_Ci_Homeland_Ci_CASS_%202010.pdf

There is also another website that lists James W. Leigh that lists the cemetery Layton/Leigh Cemetery. It is owned by the United Methodist Church in Folkston from my understanding. Sad to say they are not maintaining the grounds as it is in need of lawn care. The shame is this is listed on the Charlton County Historic Cemeteries, and a part of not only the town's history but that of the church's. Please email my if you feel this information is correct. Thanks, Saundra Dowling
