|I became interested in genealogy many years ago when trying to keep track of all of my husband's aunts and uncles, cousins, first-cousin marriages, etc. It seemed impossible to remember their relationship until I finally made a "tree" with everyone on it. At that point, I was hooked. I was an adopted child so I started tackling the biological side of my tree with only a smidgen of information. Many visits to libraries poring through microfiche, traipsing through cemeteries, and more hours of microfiche at the county court house and I had a basic idea of what had happened. Opening court documents about my adoption was expensive but very helpful. I contacted potential relatives who had their family trees on the internet and hit the jackpot with several of them; I owe a huge debt of thanks to them. Now I have branched out to tracing down the trees of my sons' wives. It seems never-ending but it is a great hobby!|

A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy
New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013
Go to your Contributor/Profile page.
Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you.
Then just review and accept.
Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.
You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.
BTW, my husband and I are flying back to PA and my husband, 2 friends and I will be taking pictures of all the plaques in the Old Mausoleum; therefore, if you want to request any, the photo requests will be fulfilled first.

Hello Mary, my name is Hal Bryson, and I'm writing to ask if I may have your permission to use four of your Find a Grave headstone photos in my Ancestry.com family tree. I think that the headstones are a useful addition to family trees and I would like to include them.
Please let me know. Thanks!

You place the incorrect photo on his memorial page at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Would you please remove it?

Thank you, I'll be happy to transfer the memorial to you.

You asked for transfer of this memorial stating that Julia was your grandmother, but you didn't tell me exactly, generation by generation, how you descend from Julia. Thanks.
