|Time has made me more interested in having a good record of various relatives. I pay close attention to infant children whenever I find a section as we have been trying to locate a gravesite of my mother's oldest brother who died in infancy in the Yonkers, New York area - Last name would be Doyle. I also pay attention to the infant cemeteries because sometimes they need some tlc hence I carry an assortment of small gardening toos with me. Because of my father, a deceased retired Marine, I also pay attention to the flat military memorial because they are often overgrown. |
Leave me a message or to e-mail me. Note that I will only fulfill photo requests submitted directly through findagrave as of May 19, 2011. I take photos as time will allow. I work full time and use my lunch hour to upload the photos. I live in the central New Jersey area but I travel into Monmouth County (Freehold and the Belmar/SpringLake/Manasquan area)as well as parts of Ocean and Hunterdon Counties in New Jersey. I have also been traveling in to the Westchester/Rockland County areas in New York and parts of Connecticut.
One last comment: SO MANY CEMETERIES ARE IN NEED OF TLC WITHOUT ENOUGH HANDS TO MAINTAIN EVERY SINGLE GRAVESITE AND FLAT MEMORIALS ARE SINKING AND/OR BEING COVERED WITH CRAB GRASS OR OTHER GROUND COVER. IF YOU HAVE A FEW MINUTES OF EXTRA TIME WHEN VISITING ANY CEMETERY FOR WHATEVER REASON OR IF YOU KNOW A BOY OR GIRL SCOUT, BAR OR BAT MITZVAH OR ANYONE IN NEED OF COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS OR A SERVICE PROJECT, PLEASE TAKE CARE OF SOME OF THE FLAT MEMORIALS WHETHER THEY ARE MILITARY MARKERS OR NOT, EVEN IF IT'S JUST TRIMMING THE WEEDS AROUND THEM. SO MANY CHILDREN ARE AFRAID OF CEMETERIES AND THEY SHOULDN'T BE. TAKE YOUR CHILDREN OR GRANDCHILDREN WITH YOU ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A "HOME" CEMETERY. THIS WAY THEY WILL KNOW WHERE FAMILY MONUMENTS ARE LOCATED WHEN WE ARE NO LONGER HERE.
Thanks so much!

Thanks. I just sent another edit request with her birth info: 1870 is approximate based on census records, which give birthplace as Washington, DC. I looked, yesterday, for a NJ probate pre-1953, but couldn't find one. I suspect she is the Roberta transacting property sales in Trenton into the 1940s, so she might have died later than 1953. But I found no obit in the Trenton papers, either, so it may be that she left NJ. -Joe

Thanks for the recent additions. Yes, I am a direct Yard descendant. My most immediate male Yard ancestor was James Yard of Trenton and Mount Lucas (Montgomery Twp., Somerset Co.), son of Benjamin Yard (1718-1808), blacksmith and steelmaker in Trenton. The Monmouth group are all cousins of one degree or another.
I'll send you a direct message from my email account so you have the address, and we can pick up offline.

You posted gravestone images to memorial #8137664 for Jane P. (Hunt) Cook. These also show her husband James, a cousin of mine, whose memorial is #8137663. If you still have these images, could you post to James's memorial as well?
Thanks in advance for taking a look at this.
Gunny - I think the photos you are referring to were given to me by Mark Snyder and I added them with his permission. But in case I was mistaken, to err on the right side of this, I have deleted my photos from the Muirheids if you wish to contact Leigh so she can add her photo that will be fine...Donna
Sorry for any problems - anything else? Please let me know - firstname.lastname@example.org

|KColeman||Jane G. Coleman|
Hello, I saw that you had submitted a picture for the gravesite of Jane G. Coleman at St. Mary's Cemetery in Trenton, NJ. She is my Third Cousin. I am trying to locate any information I can in regards to my family. Would you be able to offer any assistance to me? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Also, thank you for posting that picture. I did not know her but I would have loved to have met her.

Thanks for sponsoring these memorials. I will search my laptop this weekend for possible pictures, I think I photographed this part of this section of Oaklawn Cemetery last fall, then a few months to get posted to FindaGrave. I will add the photos if I can find them.
