My uncle was Joseph Phineas Mahan Jr. of Browns Mills, NJ. His father was Joseph Phineas Mahan Sr born 1883 who was married to Henrietta Haines. My mother, Ruth D. Mahan-Garrison was my mother. Siblings: Sara died 1923, Elizabeth, Henrietta, Charles, and Jean. Are we from the same family tree? I am trying to track down his wife and family. Thanks for any help.
Have a great weekend.

Thank you so much for the transfer of Maranda. Very much appreciated.I grew up near Pompey and all of our Seymours came from around that area. My sister-in-law is also a Seymour descendant from Richard, the Immigrant so we are very Seymour family interconnected. My grandmother, a Seymour of an old family in our area used to tell me her father and other SEymour relatives, although mostly farmers, always wore dress white gloves in the fields while working as they were used to wearing them for generations. Must be going back to their more prosperous ancestors!

I cannot tell you how much it meant to me to finally find the resting place of my Brother. I have been searching for many years. I would now like to know how I can maintain hia grave. The story of his death and what my parents endured is so very sad.

Hi Clara, Thanks for responding. It's nice, and a bit unusual to make contact with family through this service. I have also found my husbands 2nd gr. grandparents on here as well(Currie's). It's been easier for me to trace the women that married into the Curries families even on here. Thanks again!
|Paul Fort||Sara Haines Fort (1897-1969)|
Hi Clara !!!
First of all, let me thank you for your work in doing this.
If findagrave.com, you have a George Haines (1866-1958) listed as the father of Sara Haines Fort (1897-1969). This is incorrect.
Sara is my grandmother. Her father was Joseph Haines (1875-1944)and her mother was Elizabeth Brown Haines (1873-1904) Sara's brother was Isaiah Haines. She also had a step-mother and several half-siblings.
I can provide more information if you need it.
Thanks !! Paul Fort

There are two Scotts that are you are managing that are related to me, Stephen Young Scott (87861837) and his wife Mary (87861589), and I would appreciate your transferring them to me. Stephen is a cousin. His father, Benjamin (130677455), and my great great grandfather William Henry Scott (115930840) were brothers.
