Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in New York City, I grew up in New Jersey where I still reside. I started researching my family in the early 1980s after my two daughters were born. Between my family and my wife's family, I have information on more than 80 surnames. Since many of my family lines have ended in brick walls, I enjoy helping others by visiting cemeteries and posting photos on this website. The photo is of the gravesite of my Foster ancestors buried in Waitsfield, Vt.

RE: Ghering family in Venango County
I am not related. I live in Washington state but am from Venango County, so those cemeteries are the ones I like. One PA vacation I photographed all Dempseytown Lutheran Cemetery, which has Gherings. And I've worked a lot in the Franklin Cemetery, which has some of all Venango County names. Sorry, I won't be any help.

Thank you, Slay, for checking and finding no record for my 5X great grandmother in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. I have edited her memorial accordingly and removed the photo request. Best, Douglas Marshall-Steele
