My son & I have combined his love of U.S. military history and my love of genealogy & art into a fun and educational pursuit.
Our enthusiasm began after a springtime trip to Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virgina. We were overwhelmed ... the riot of color from the dogwoods mixed with the somber grays of the stones stole my breath away, while the famous names of JEB Stuart & George Pickett had my young man whooping (albeit quietly) & tossing his cap in the air. The die was cast and since then we have traveled many miles and poured through many books & documents together. We travel yearly into Pennsylvania exploring our family roots. You may find us in the Marx Room of the Easton Library, or haunting the cemeteries of Montour & Columbia counties ...
We are currently working through our home county of Gloucester and the adjoining Mathews county photographing & transcribing the cemeteries.
If you should find an error or would like me to transfer a loved one to your care, please pop us a note.
County Keeper for Gloucester, Virginia.

Dear Egg and Dart ~
Thank you kindly for transferring management of Angelo and Rosa's memorials to me. I promise to take good care of them. May I ask if you would also consider transferring management of their daughter France's Goretti - 31601786 - to me?
Thank you also for the terrific work you do on Find A Grave. This is a wonderful website which unites families and preserves history for all.
|GJ||RE: Looking just splendid!|
I apologize if I overwhelmed you with my requests. You certainly did a lot of work creating the memorials, and I would never ask someone to transfer so many memorials, but I can understand your situation. I do appreciate your thoughtfulness in transferring the memorials to me. I joined Ancestry.com so I will be able to find more information to add to the memorials. Thanks for all your hard work on Find A Grave, and thanks once again for the transfers.

Hey Egg & Dart. I have a question regarding Josiah Lily Deans mother~ Anna Maria Dandridge Deans. Anna Maria Dandridge Bassett died on Dec 17, 1777. 34 years before Josiah's birth. Anna Maria's death is well documented as she was Martha Dandridge Custis Washington's sister.

If you have time, would you please take a photo of the headstones for Walter J. Cushing and his brother, Harry Cushing at the Ware Episcopal Church Cemetery?
Thanks for the names and dates on the Ware Episcopal Church Cemetery site. If you could add a picture for each, it would be wonderful.

Hi. Could I request the transfer of one of my great grandmothers, 21301535, to myself, 48507021. It would be greatly appreciated.
|Doug Fitchett||Sands Smith, 1803-1863|
Don't know if you would want to add this or not, but here is an interesting story about Sands.
I have read this in a book somewhere, but I can't remember the book.
Hope all is well with you.
