I live in Augusta County, Virginia. I started out with findagrave by listing family surnames that I am researching - Albert, Sites, & Stokes.
The photo is the grave of my Granddad's little brother Lewis. Family members couldn't remember the location of the grave. Then one day while looking at an old photo album with my Grandma, I asked about a photo. Grandma's answer was the clue needed to find the grave. What was lost was found.

Kite /Pirkey Family I have been researching my family ancestry and came across the picture you posted under Noah B. Kite and Isabelle Pirkey Kites burial records. They were my Great Great Great Grandparents, their daughter Caroline Pirkey Kite married my Great Great Grandfather R.W. (Robert) Kite. R.W. father, John (or maybe Jon) was married to Mary B. Eppard. John may or may not be a brother to Noah. I am looking for any family information and would greatly appreciate any assistance you could provide. I have a "Flower" on all of the burial records I have found. I can be contacted at; email@example.com Thank you in advance for your time, Brenda Kite-McGettes
Hi I am a descendant of the Grigsby, and Fewell lines..on Verlinda Porter's stone, the engraver I believe it is Fagan, not Fagin. If u look closely enough, you'll see the slash slants like the first A,no big deal, just thought I'd mention it,encase you are trying to correct about it. Have a nice day.

Picture of Brick wall with Fairview Cemetery Hi Mike. I recently added 5 gravesites for RAFFERTY to the Fairview Cemetery in Botecourt County, Virginia. You, in turn, added a picture of a Brick Wall with Fairview Cemetery. I have been ill and unable to work on these additions. I am getting ready to update them very soon. However, I am in question to where this wall is located?? My Picture shows an entrance with a pillar on each side. A sign on one pillar says 111 Fairview Street the other has a sign which says Fairview Cemetery Est. 1854. This is the picture I was about to add when I saw your picture. Is this the same Fairview Cemetery? I did not see a Brick Wall. If it is then where is it located? My findagrave contributor number is 48467450. Thank you for your help. Connie
Confederate Cemetery Photos Dear Mike, I just wanted to write to say thank you for all the photos at Charlottesville, VA Confederate Cemetery. My mothers uncle is buried there. My husband and I were there in 2005 and it was aweinspiring to walk where my mothers uncle is laid to rest. I know he had a uncle who died in the Battle of Cedar Run but have never found where he is buried. I have always wondered if I could order a confederate headstone for my William Thomas Medlin who has a flat stone but I cant even remember how I located it. If you are close by and have info could you answer my message please?
Hello, there. I was looking for my Great-Uncle Henry Sites Jr's parents (Henry Sites Sr., and Mary C. Allen) from the Charlottesville, Nelson Co., Virginia, area. And I came upon your Find-A-Grave memorials for them. So thank you for submitting them. I was also wondering how you're linked to the SITES Family, pertaining to Henry Sites Sr., and his wife Mary C. Allen? Because their only child (son) Henry Sites, Jr., was my Step-Great-Uncle. Thank you for your time, and have a blessed day.
