RE: Ann Fuller
I have attempted to contact Caitlin several times without success. I don't believe it's a copy written photo.

Although I don't live there, I once did, I was asked to solve the "mystery" for a group of interested people there. With a little luck, I came across the following:

“A Modern History of Windham County, Vol. 1”, edited by Allen B. Lincoln and published in 1920, and noticed a quote in the book by a Luther Fuller (1847 – 1928) of Scotland, Connecticut. Mr. Fuller, living in Washington D.C. at the time, stated, in part, “Father's great-grandfather married in Ipswich, Mass., Ann Harris, the niece of Ben Franklin, and migrated to Hanover and settled in the wood where his descendants still live. …”

The chance reading of a book about an adjacent County provided the answer. The rest was just tracking down genealogies which wasn't difficult in this case. Obviously, Franklin's has been well documented as well as John Fuller and his descendants from Ipswich, MA.

If you'd like I could have a photo taken of this grave site and transmit it to you. Let me know. I'll have it done before the snow flies there.

I have no genealogical relationship with Ann Fuller.

Let me know if you want a picture. Thanks

If you follow the link and scroll down the page you will see the photograph of the gravestone in the Old Hanover Cemetery simply marked, "A Niece of Benjamin Franklin".

Ann Harris Fuller was the daughter of Anne Franklin Harris. Anne Franklin Harris was the daughter of Josiah Franklin and Ann Child Franklin. Benjamin Franklin was a child of the same Josiah Franklin and Abiah Foulger. Josiah Franklin had a total of 17 children.

Although Ann Harris Fuller predeceased her uncle Benjamin Franklin, he provided in his will for each of his brothers and sisters, including Ann Franklin Harris, along with her heirs and her children's heirs. My guess is the gravestone merely referring to "A Niece of..." was erected in tribute to both Ann Harris Fuller and the inheritance.

Ann Harris Fuller is the only niece of Benjamin Franklin in the cemetery.

Please let me know if you found this of interest.

Ann Fuller
I noticed that Robin Barnes is listed as a caretaker for Ann Fuller's grave site in the Old Hanover Cemetery in Sprague (Hanover), Connecticut. Interestingly, this same Ann Fuller has another gravestone in the same cemetery, with a rather cryptic inscription. It appears Ms. Barnes is a "granddaughter".

I've just joined this site and I don't know how to maneuver around it or contact Robin Barnes. I'm sure this "mysterious" gravestone would be of interest to her, as it has been for numerous people for many years.

Use the photos as you wish, as that was what they were taken for.

RE: Gleason and Bigley
Feel free to use the photos. P.S. I also took the liberty of photographing adjacent Bigley and Gleason gravesites. These gravesites were not listed on findagrave, so I created new pages for them so I could post the photos. If you wish, I can turn over management of them to you. Thanks for writing.

Dave.
