2 soldiers with same name
Toni,
Regarding Pvt John W, Hesler, mem #14049898 in Riverside Cem., Barber Co., KS - the photo of his stone shows he served in the 27th IN Infantry, Co. I, which agrees with military records. Your info pertains to another John Hesler, who served in the 43rd IN Infantry, Co. H and is buried in Crown Point Cem., Howard Co., Indiana, Lot 29, Sec 12, Gr 5.

Cenotaph
Toni,
Regarding Lt George R. Barricklow, mem #13647716, in Riverview Cem., Barber Co., KS -
military records show his year of birth as 1844 [not 184]. The record shows the name George R. was an alias and his real name was Randolph.

He is interred in Goffs Cemetery, San Bernadino Co., California. Find A Grave mem #23970533.

Thus, the stone in Kansas is an cenotaph.

Can you please edit?

Daniel
