Your tombstone stands neglected and alone.

The name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care. It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist. You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled so many years ago.
Spreads out among the ones you left who would have loved you so.
I wonder as you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot and come to visit you.

Clarence C Poore and Edna M Poore
I have a copy of the St. John's Cemetery book and both are buried there. However, when I went to the cemetery there are no tombstones there. The book I have is dated 1984, 22 years ago, and in this book in Section V of the cemetery they are buried in row 12. At that time there were only funeral director markers with Clarence C. Poore dated of 1900 - 1959 and Edna M Poore 1904 - 1959. If you would like a picture of the area of the cemetery where they are buried and a scanned copy of this page in the book please contact me at sewilhelm@comcast.net. I will be glad to help.

John Vogt family
Have worked on these this evening. The children were all born at Jonesville; most have civil birth records in Bartholomew Co., some under Vogt and some as Vagt. Since I put these entries in, we have gotten Indiana death certificates added to Ancestry. Have plumbed those records tonight and added additional dates and places. I do try to make the name on the entry match that on the stone, other than spelling out names that only have initials. If you put the baptismal name on the listing, then the next one who walks through shooting photos will think there's no entry, and duplicate. (Yes, of course they should be more diligent about looking for variations, but they often are not.) Also added obits for John and Alvina, another new toy we got this year. Looooove Newspapers.com!

I have deleted mine. My main purpose is that the person is on Find A Grave. The more information available is good for family no matter how long ago.

When I was going through Bear River I was still wet behind the ears. Since then I have modified the way I search for memorials so duplicates aren't made, well not as many, if you like I will transfer, you was there first. hawkeye

Thanks for the info - please know that the Indiana death certificates are now available on Ancestry.com which shows the place of death as Rushville for both Golda & Bert.

Thanks again,
Diane

My Lanza family came from Southern Italy to parts of New York, West Virginia and Ohio as far as I know. Santa Lanza-Magistro my (gg grandmother) had a daughter Giovanna (Annie) Magistro0-Corapi. They settled in Bellaire, Ohio. I am not sure what happened to Santa Lanza's sisters my (ggg aunts)
