|David Gurney||Travis Cemetery (Private property)|
I took pictures of this cemetery when I was a teenager (a little over 30 years ago). I apologize for the quality and did not know what I was doing. I remember of the name of the property owner's name and according to the Register of Deeds, the same property owner's name still owns the plot. The property's owner was very congenial and was welcoming. The house that her family owns (at least part of it) dates back to the early 19th century. She may be amenable to taking better pictures. It is off of Chestnut Ridge Road on the east side the 684 bridge. I can provide you with the name of the property owner's name however it is not hard to find it in property records and a map.

You're very welcome, JoAnn - my pleasure :)

You're quite welcome! I'm glad we were able to get a photo you needed. My wife and I are working on photographing all headstones in Pleasant Hill.

Are you certain of the husband's name? I'm not quite done with this cemetery yet, but found a promising candidate.
I don't show a William Hall Wells, but still have one section to cover.
What is Mary's maiden name?
I finally got them all posted. There were 2 that are missing Joanne and Ellen. However, there are two that were not listed. Another John and another Caroline so I created a memorial and transferred them to You.
I just got back from Laureldale Cemetery. I found the Forney graves. I stumbled upon them looking for one my ancestors. Which was lucky because it's a big cemetery. There's one big monument with Forney on it and all the graves are surrounding it are marked with flat stones. I thought it was very unusual for so many family members to be buried together, there are so many. Plus the fact that all the stones look the same age. Then I just saw that they were moved to make way for the lake. So that would explain why they are all together. The big monument that is shown on the old picture you posted is the same one now in Laureldale Cemetery. As soon as I start to go through my pictures I will start to post them. Unfortunately, I was not a good day for taking pictures, there was a bright sun and tree branches throwing shadows. But I'll post what I got.
|Marilyn Verna||Ann Decker|
I was at the cemetery yesterday 7/4/14 and took photos of 59 grave sites all that were legible. I have 12 Decker stones but no Ann. Is there another name that you need? Many of the stone engravings have been washed away or destroyed.

Okay, I added the picture for you. I will be going back to the cemetery and will keep looking just in case.

You are very welcome.I might try and get more of this cemetery photographed as time goes on.
Have taken pictures of the grave markers of Gilbert and Mary in the Glendive Cemetery as you requested. Also have taken pictures of Geneva Burdick, Julia Burdick Hulbert and Alice Burdick Dooray. Also a few more graves with the last name of Rock which looked as if they were in the same plot.
High Plains :)
