|Olivia Cartwright||County Line Baptist Church|
Hey, I saw your pictures of graves of County Line Baptist Cemetery at Dry Creek. I have some family buried there, and I was wondering if you could tell me how to get there? I would be driving from Jumpertown.
|Cheryl DeLacretaz||RE: Question concerning Anna Carter|
My husband matches 6 of 6 people in Ancestry's DNA Circle who are related to Sanford Carter, Sr., so all indications are that he is descended from Sanford Carter, Sr. > William G. > Barron > Zelma (my husband's grandmother).
Thanks for your suggestion about how Anna Carter's headstone says she died in 1849 and yet she appears on the 1850 census. That sounds as plausible as anything I could come up with! :-)
|Cheryl DeLacretaz||Question concerning Anna Carter|
I see that you provided the picture of Anna Carter's headstone and also some information about her. I am researching this side of my husband's family and wonder about some questionable dates. Her headstone states that Anna died 2 March 1849; however, she is listed as Sanford Carter's wife in the 1850 census. Any idea why there would be such a discrepancy? Thank you.

Thank you so much for these 3 pictures, especially the closeup ones. Still can't read them that well, but it surely helps to see that there is additional text there.
|TPE||Carter stones at Hamilton Cemetery (Carlisle, AR)|
Hey Jonathan, I just wanted to note that in addition to your photo request for Calley Carter being fulfilled, I have also added photos for the other Carters surrounding her (as you asked for in your note with her photo request). Immediately around her (now with photos) are William Carter, Lucille Carter, Carl Carter, and Rufus C. Carter... but there are also other Carters nearby (on a different row), and I have added them too. The nearby Carters include Archie M., Elbert D., Joe E. (added a better quality photo), and Rosie M. & Clyde B. (added a finished/updated stone). There are many more Carters at Hamilton Cemetery, but these were the ones most immediately surrounding Calley. Hope all these are useful to you!

Thank you so much.
|Nancy Kay Crook Stewart||Hinkle Cemetery-Martin Savage grave|
I noticed your picture of Martin Savage's grave you took on 8-27-2006 and I'm glad someone found it. My husband and I tried to find it back around 1987 and couldn't find it.
Two questions. 1) I couldn't make out the inscription at the very top of the marker. Could you tell me what exactly it says? Martin Savage was my 3rd great grandfather. His son, Rev. Hamilton Giles Savage was my 2nd great grandfather and he was the 1st pastor of Hinkle Creek Baptist Church. His daughter, Mary Ann Margaret Savage (my great grandmother)was also a teacher in the Savage school in that same area. Mary Ann Margaret Savage married Louis F. Earthman and they had a daughter to die while living there. 2) I also tried to find her grave and was not able to find it either. Her name was Lou Ella Earthman, b. in 1870 and died in 1878 and is buried in Hinkle Cemetery. Have you possibly come across her marker? I would love to have a picture of her grave marker to add to my family history.
