"I think it is a real shame what Find A Grave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded, owned or hoarded.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives ~ they know who they are. Hopefully, there are more of us than there are of them".

I surely don't understand some of the contributors who refuse to transfer unless it is by guidelines. What do you want with my Great Great Aunt or some other member of my family tree ? What would you think if I kept your relative from you ?

Aileen Mae Crabill
Hi Steve, I am trying to do some research on Aileen May Roberts, born abt. 1896 in St Asaph Flintshire, Wales. Some of my research has lead me to Aileen May Crabill, and I wondered if you could shed some light on this. My Aileen's parents were Thomas F. Robert and Sarah Maguire Roberts, both born in Wales and immigrated to the United States in 1906, Thomas a little earlier in 1904-05. She had 2 brothers, Frederick Bernard and one that died at age 17, Henry Elway; sisters Kathleen May and Vera R. The family lived in Chicago for a few yesrs.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,
Debra

Sabatka Suggestion
I do not believe there is a link between Robert J Satbatka (132301816) and Joseph Sabatka Jr (15196563), they could be distantly related though, definitely not immediate family. Robert Sabatka's family was born in Ohio.

How are you related to Julia. I am doing a family tree from my relatives. Julia is My Half 1st Cousin 1 Removed. I think I got that Right. Anyway. Her Dad was Daniel M Schmucker, His Father was Moses S Schmucker. Anyway Moses S Schmucker was my Great Grandfather. If you have any information for my tree such as family of Julia I would be interested. my Email: modernprintingdan@gmail.com

Jingles, American Eskimo Dog.
Steve, thank you ever so much for the sponsorship for Jingles. We followed that story from the day we heard about the explosion to graveside with Jingles.

We had a male American Eskimo dog. He was our "foundation dog" He was born January 1st, 1998. His name was Sabastian. He was a miniature AE, not a standard or a toy.

From Sabastian we had two litters. Snowy was the mom to a total of 18 puppies.

Sabastian went to Heaven on September 16th, 2014. Two of his sons preceded him in August of 2014. So for us it was three of our "children" we lost and a lotta lotta tears.

Sabastian went with us to the graveside with Jingles and Mr. Cole, Jingles' "Dad." Mr. Cole was so appreciative and happy to be able to hold and pet Sabastian, it was a real tear jerking day in Clearwater, Fla.

Again thank you for the sponsorship. You did it for a great little dog who fought so hard to make it.

FWH.
