Hi John: I am wondering if you would be willing to transfer this memorial to my 'management'. This lady, Anna Hebard, is my 5th gr-grandmother's mother. If you do not want to transfer her to me, could I send you some changes, such as the link to her husband, which is #35189643, Dr. Joseph Hebard. Thanks & have a nice day!! Another trip to the library, another pass by the cemetery, and a very careful look at what remains of the stone indicates that it is a memorial to Hezekiah, his son John and his wife Rachel, none of whom are actually buried at that cemetery! Rachel Willey died in Haddam.
Transcription from 1800: In Memory of Mr. Hezekiah/Mack who died at Lake George/Oct 1755 in ye 28th year of his Age//In Memory of Mr. John Mack/Son of Mr. Hezekiah & Mrs. Rachel/Mack who died at Cambridge/near Boston Dec. 1775 in ye 24/Year of his Age//In Memory of Mrs. Rachel/Relict of Mr. Hezekiah Mack but/late wife of Mr. David Willey who/Died July 10 1801 in ye 69th Year of/her Age
"The Father & Son early victims/In the field of Wars(?)/the wife & Mother's exit by keen affliction/& lingering sickness is caus'd"
All that is left is the end of the first line, an almost worn off "dg" from Cambridge in the middle right edge, and the last two lines. So sincere apologies that you took it off Hezekiah's memorial page; it does belong on all three of them. Hopefully we can find Rachel and David Willey in Haddam (maybe in the spring).
