I live in central Massachusetts with my wife Barbara. Formerly the Director of Operations at a Worcester Mass. facility, I am now retired, leaving me much more time for prowling through graveyards!|
I particularly like discovering and photographing old gravestones, and consider myself very fortunate to be living in New England where so many of the early settlers are buried. I also try to photograph as many graves of veterans I come across, from those who fought in the Revolutionary War through the present time.
My objectives are two-fold:
1.When I post photos of their graves on Find A Grave, along with as much bio information as I can gather about them, I feel that I am honoring their lives, in some small way.
2. I want to capture as many of these old stones on disk before acid rain, vandalism, snowplows, and whatever obliterates them forever!
(Being a graveyard junkie, however, I am apt to take a picture of any interesting grave that catches my eye...regardless of the era)!

Hi Jim....I am tracking my kinfolk and finally found this one, and there is a lot of confusion with the multiple marriages and cousin marriages. Would you consider transferring Bridgets page to me, even tho she is a bit far removed, she is direct lineage. I know what you mean, about being close to our heritage, I was fortunate to be able to purchase my Great Grandfathers Homestead in Maine and have spent the last 10 years restoring it. Its a love hate thing...lol

Thank you for making the updates to her memorial. Best regards, Jan
I am related to a Ward branch that includes Saunders and Clark. I wondered if those names were in your ancestry.

I found the Palmer MA Town and Vital Records for Clark's birth and death and I have a birth date for him and a corrected death date for him.
It is hard to tell but I can enlarge the photo on my screen and the death year is 1824 not 1822. The 4 is made different than the 2 next to it so you can tell it is a 4 and that is what it says in the Records.
His birth date is Dec 06 1761. He was born and died in Palmer, Hampden County, MA.
He married Margret Brackenridge Oct 14, 1790 in Palmer, Hampden County, MA.
The spelling of her name in the Palmer, Hampden County, MA Birth Vital Records is Margret. Her Find A Grave # is 8109459. It also states her birth date as July 13, 1763.
Would you please make these corrections and also Link these this couple together since you created the two Find A Grave Memorial pages? It would be most appreciated!
