PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction link to add/correct information. I try to get to them within 24 hours of receipt. |
PLEASE use the Edit tab and Suggest a Correction to request a transfer. Please include your relationship to the dearly departed. Please spare me the "I am the family genealogist" and the "I have tons of information to add" stories. I've been burned too many times by people requesting out-of-guidelines transfers and then never adding so much as a comma to the memorial. Requests for bulk transfers will be summarily ignored.
I WILL NOT link to just "burial unknown". This IS a grave registration site.
If I do not maintain the memorial, but add a picture, PLEASE check the photo caption for the inscription.
My love of old cemeteries is genetic from my dad. I try to take pictures of the fallen/damaged markers first as they might end up "behind the shed" or "over the wall" by the next time I get there.

On Abbie' s memorial, you posted a photo of her daughter's stone, and I believe you may have intended to post a photo of Abbie's stone instead.

Sorry about that, I removed the profile. I am very careful, not quite sure how that happened. I will go now and look to see if any others managed to sneak by.
No need to thank me, but thanks for the thanks! A few contributors in our area, you included, do exceptional work. Some think they do, they have no clue what real historians and researchers accomplish. I do not, nor never will, claim to be in your league. Some days I'm more motivated then others. Can't wait for the warm, DRY, weather to get here. I seem more productive when I'm not wet or freezing.

If you're sending me an edit anyway, why not include everything. Quick edits are extremely inefficient as we are not notified. Until the system is better set up WITH NOTICES, I don't even go there to look. Too busy for Find A Grave inefficiency.

Thank you so very much for putting the additional Shaker cemetery online in Lancaster. I have made a note on Lydia's memorial thanking you as well. This was a very important memorial to me, and I wanted to get it right. :) Jeanne
