RE: Florence A Pike Karen, Thank-you so much. It worked like a charm. I am also adding their 4th sister Minnie and her husband. Nice to have this part of the family linked. Now on to another branch of this very large family tree. Once again thanks, Karol
RE: George Pappas I was presenting the alternative George Pappas that probably belongs with the family that this George Pappas is linked to. Once I have more information from the family I will present it to you. Again this George is linked to the wrong family. His father is not James.
RE: Welcome I'm glad if the Pike photos and the cemetery photos of the Jewell-Wheeler site are helpful to you. The hike is lovely - about half is along the side of the Harriman Reservoir and the other half is uphill but mostly shaded. The trail is lined with stone walls so you can't help thinking about the hard-working people who cleared that land and tried to make a life on the slopes.
I made that cemetery my destination because I thought it might be the hiding place for a treasure hunt! It turned out that it wasn't the right site, but I had noted before I left that you had requested photos. So I was delighted to be able to do something productive even if I didn't find a treasure.
This is the treasure hunt site, if anyone wants to help identify it: https://www.historicalhunt.com/2015_lh_vt.php
Thank you for welcoming me to Find A Grave. I can see where the Find A Grave participation could become a new hobby!
St. Josephs Cemetery, Webster I noticed you have taken many photos at this cemetery. I am trying to track down a map for this cemetery since I will be visiting it next Saturday. The lady in the cemetery office has tried to give me the section directions over the phone but does not have a map to email me. By any chance do you have a map with the different section layouts? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Sue
Louisa Taft Thank you for the info. My apologies. I didn't realize these were at two different cemeteries. I'll be sure to double-check that, if I run across another "duplicate." Please mark yours as a cenotaph. Thank you.
