Thank you for letting me know to link him to his father. Sorry it has taken me this long to get back to you but I have been away from F.A.G. for a little while due to family issues. But they are now together.. :)

RE: John Mallonee
I believe the way it works for the area is St John's Parish didn't mean they were buried at the church. St John's Parish is just a very large area and people would worship in that area Living/dying in St John's Parish could mean they are buried in the area that was called ST John's Parish which would now include Baltimore County, Harford County and possibly Baltimore City. I don't know exactly what the boundaries were. I think this is they way I remember it from when I did some digging for someone years ago. I hope this helps?

It says Dec 6, 1861,age 34 for death date which makes sense with her birth date.

RE: Josephine Jones
Thank you for the transfer. Could you possibly tell me the general vicinity of the grave marker?
I would like to visit the cemetery the next time I'm in CT. My 91 year old Dad cannot remember exactly where his grandma is buried and there are other relatives buried in this cemetery.
Again, thank you.

RE: Pine Grove Conway
perhaps you know about this trick - I bring a piece of poster board/cardboard about 11" x 17" wrapped in tin foil - makes a crude mirror (cheap and replacable) - place near the face of the stone and play with angles in various directions and often will be successful at catching the light and making the letters on the stone "pop." Then of course it's hard to keep the "mirror" in that spot, using leg or knee, or having to one-handed take the picture :)
It may be that your little lamb was not recorded in the manuscript, the surveyor did miss quite a few stones at Pine Grove as shown by the memorials you had to add from the pictures you took.
best wishes for a very pleasant 2014 season of walking the hallowed grounds near and far...

RE: Pine Grove Conway
your efforts are so appreciated. I sorted the burials found at this cemetery in the survey I transcribed.

maybe it's Carrie or Minnie Batchelder?
link to their memorials here:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=batch&GSiman=1&GScid=91440&GRid=86058632&

I did a ctrl F "find" as well as a "sort" by "dau of" on the excel spreadsheet and these gals are the only ones with last name "____ er"; their memorials list their lot locations but I've never been there so cannot help you with that...their gravestone transcriptions are listed on their memorials as well, let me know if this helps.

Happy New Year! and thank you so much for your many contributions to Find A Grave...you are helping so many...
