Bio Photo Find-a-Grave rocks!

Let me know if you need a transfer if you can add more bio info. Hope everyone gets out there and photographs some stones - that is the main reason this site exists. Thanks.

Just photographed the Old Burying Ground in Gardner. I was very surprised it had never been 100% uploaded to Find-a-Grave since it has the cool old stones. Not every picture came out great and a few were knocked down or missing but I did my best. If anyone ever takes a better shot then mine just let me know and I will delete my picture.

I still need to wrap up Crystal Lake Cemetery - about 2 more "islands" to go. Starting to think about other cemeteries.

Found this inscribed on a stone in Warwick, Ma.:

"Low in the ground my bed is made,
here in the dark alone I'm laid.
Depart my friends and let me rest,
I'm weary of this wilderness."

Found this on a find-a-grave profile:

Old Bones' profile poem"

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Mary K Amidon
I see you have made a photo request for Mary K Amidon at Saint Joseph Cemetery in DeWitt. I went to the DeWitt Historal Society to try to make it easier to find her and they came up with the name Mary Amidon Kearney (died at age 87) but they didn't have a place where she was buried. I was wondering if this is the same Mary? I got lucky and found Mary E Kearney who was born Jan. 11, 1912 and died Feb. 6, 1999. She's buried next to her husband Francis J Kearney Aug. 31, 1909-Feb. 10, 1981. I have the picture and can add it to her memorial, I just want to make sure first.

RE: photo requests
Hi Ryan,

You're welcome.

I didn't see the date to the stone, as the year is buried in the ground. If I am ever up that way, I can bring a small shovel and dig around the dirt to get the year.

The stone is in front of Joseph's so it can be pretty certain Joseph is indeed the father.

I also took a picture of the blank stone in the Amidon/Morse Lot if you're interested.

Thanks,
Tyler

George A. Murray
Thank you so much for researching and posting this information! I've just started researching my Aunt Catherine Hennessey Murray's (d. 2011) family history for her family. This is a very important part of the family history. I will post it on Ancestry (with attribution).

Your work is greatly appreciated!

Regards J. Gary Fox

Glenna Shepard
Would you please consider transferring the memorial 131064751 for Glenna Shepard to me? She was married to my grandfather. Thanks.

Thanks, Ryan, for the correction.

Take a look at my revisons, and see if you can offer any further clarifications. I have contacted the manager of Hannah's (currently listed as her daughter) memorial to change the mother to the correct Sarah.

I've also found several possible links.

Edna May Rash [123453756]
I am thinking that Edna May Nordman was adopted by the Nordman family. Edna May Rash was born 2/7/1902 per her Social Security record. The only person I could find born on that day also named Edna May was Edna May Reese, daughter of Albert E Reese and Maud Mcdougal. The Nordman children were all accounted for in the Gardner records except for their daughter Edna. I tried to find the Reese family and there was no trace of them except for the birth of their daughter Edna. This is why I think she was adopted. It's all circumstantial but it adds up. What do you think? Should I put in my explanation or just change the parents like you suggested?
