Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am working on maintaining Middlesex (Map), Essex (Map) and Suffolk (Map) counties in Massachusetts.

If any information I enter is incorrect, you wish to add something, or would like a direct relative within four generations (per F.A.G. guidelines FAQ79) transferred just let me know. If requesting a transfer please make sure to say how you are related.

Please use the 'Edit' tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial for any of the above requests. Thank-you.

This is Find A GRAVE. Please do not ask me to link to 'burial unknowns'. I will be more than happy to do so when the location is found. Take a moment to read FAQ146 regarding unknown burials.

Lydia Jennings Patten
Thank you for linking Lydia to her parents. All of Solomon and Molly Jennings' children are now linked to them. My source for Lydia's middle name is "The Jennings Family of the Merrimack Valley" by Robert Reich, November, 1979. However, I haven't been able to independently verify it so I'm fine with leaving it out. In fact, I'm also removing it from my own database.

emeline darling
i agree! emeline's story was very confusing...i was not able to find her marriage to william but she showed on the 1860 census with william and delia's children per the 1850. i only found one child for her, Georgetta, who died by 1850. I did not update the bio because she is listed as a parent by one of the children...and she essentially brought them up after Delia's death. In addition, the Darling she married was also from Blue Hill Maine so may have been a cousin.

Anton P. Roise

I was wondering if you knew much about the Roise family. I am putting together a power point on anton and his wife ellen. Any info you have would be super helpful.

RE: FYI scanned obituaries
I sometimes do type them in (though admittedly, not as frequently). However, as a matter of law, there is simply no legal distinction between typing an obit verbatim vs. posting an image of it. And as a matter of historical documentation, the actual images will not carry the risk typos or other human errors or mis-attribution. While the site does read as you quote it on this issue, the bottom line is that there simply is no legal prohibition on reproducing images that are squarely within the public domain. *I sometimes post post-1922 images - typically with the plan to delete them once the memorial-holder uses the info to make the necessary edits. Then I often lose track since I try to add so many to St. Pats at a time.

RE: John Hasting
Hi Denise,

We're totally on the same page (I can say that - I'm from California!). I didn't even look at the dates, it was a proximity thing. Buried together, I think husband/wife. I've removed my edit request. It will be interesting to see what you discover with your research.
