Bio Photo "STARDUST"

And now the purple dusk of twi-light time
Steals a-cross the meadows of my heart,
High up in the sky, the lit-tle stars climb,
Al-away re-min-ding me that we're a-part.
You wandered down the lane and far a-way,
Leav-ing me a song that will not die,
Love is now the stardust of yes-ter-day,
The mus-ic of the years gone by...

Judson Vincent Hooper

There is a nice biographical sketch of your Judson Vincent Hooper on page 243 of "History of Roanoke County" by Jack and Jacobs. It is available to read online. I thought you might be interested.

Glad to be of help!

These are in the original mausoleum buildings built at Cypress Lawn in 1892. Nowadays they are kept locked to protect them, but it is possible to check out the key. The stained glass is a type no longer made, particularly the reds which required mercury to manufacture.

I enjoy visiting them and hope you can too some day.

RE: Florence Theresa Pfeiffer
Hi stardust. Thanks for the information. I am also on and is where I received info from family trees stating that the Wiedors and the Pfeifer's were from Germany. It seems that there are some errors though because there are different names and locations on different family members trees. Thank you for your help!

Florence Theresa Pfeiffer

Florence Pfeiffer was my great grandmother. I was wondering if you happen to have information on her mother and or her ancestry. Family genealogy shows Germany but I took a recent DNA ancestry test and received some surprising ethnic results.

RE: John & Margaret (Spafford) Flynn
You are welcome! I created memorials for the others who are buried on the family plot. According the the 1900 census, Dennis & Elizabeth Flynn are your relatives parents. There are two other brothers in the census record, Morris S.(b.1877) and Joseph S.(b.1881), who are not buried in this plot. By the way, there is a Parker W. Cramer (1937-1963) buried in the Flynn family plot as well.
