When you send me enhancements/corrections and you do not provide the source, I will do a search to verify your information. If I cannot find a source, I will then do the correction, but will mention your name as the provider of that information. |
Feel free to use my photos for your genealogy research, but please mention that you got the photo from findagrave.
When I do headstone hunts, its nice to get a thank-you from the requester! Also, when writing to me, add a salutation at the beginning, and a thank-you at the end!
Also, thank you to everyone who follows through and makes the enhancements that I send.
I use a mirror to reflect the sunlight off of the stones lettering. I have a cheap $10.00 mirror that is about 4 feet high. I can hold the mirror in one hand, and take the photo with the other hand.
Another place to find your ancestors gravestone photos is on: http://www.flickr.com/ just search for their name.

You are wonderful! Thank you so much! I guess if you are able to see a name you will add a new photo for little William Robinson. I really appreciate your conscientious effort to take legible photos. You do a beautiful job!
Thanks so much for the photo's of Andrew Maher and his family. He came to America 1846 on a ship with my 5th great grandma Ellen and her future husband at the time. Can't figure out how he is related (maybe uncle) but now with that picture you took it has the town where he was from, which I didn't know.

I forgot to mention - They are at Saint Mary's Cemetery in New London. William's Find A Grave # is 149728213. Thank you.

How grateful I am for these beautiful photos! Included in them are my 2nd great grandparents (John & Annie) and my 3rd great grandmother (Alice Robinson). Thank you for creating the memorial for William. Question: Child, William (Son of James C and Catherine Robinson) - His name does not appear on the stone. Did you find it in the cemetery records? I did not know when he died so this is very helpful. Thank you for creating a memorial for him and again for everything. I am thrilled!!
|Marilyn Lane||RE: Lakeview Cemetery, East Hampton, CT|
Thanks, Irma. Looking at the tombstone online, I was unable to read the number. Now I'll have an approximate birth year for Deborah Dunham.
|Marilyn Lane||Lakeview Cemetery, East Hampton, CT|
Thanks so much for posting the tombstone of Deborah Dunham who is buried in the subject cemetery. The tombstone shows her age at her death in 1780, but I can't read the numbers. I think that the age starts with a "6," but I can't read the second number. I was wondering if you know what the age is.
Thanks again. You have done a great job of posting cemetery info.

I fulfilled a photo request for Harriet Law today. I noticed she is listed on Findagrave as Harriet Seale Law. Her Maiden name is actually Beale. Thanks.

ooh, i guess i worded that last message strangely. i wasnt suggesting an edit on your part. the clarification was for me. i guess if you had anything else it would have been in the memorial. i wasn't working on anything anymore. janice sent me notice i had a duplicate and i got sucked back into it. even the so-called 'experts' dont know a lot about this stuff and the browns can be confusing. there are tons of them. i met some brown cousins as a kid at the old mystic swimming hole. best to you always
