Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing family history for several years now. I work on it about every day. If I can help someone I would love too (time permitting).

I am researching the surnames: Fritz, Ruffing, Rock, Westrick/Westrich, Schoen, Hepp, Kramer, Diehm, Bertsch, Phillips, Carpenter, Bachman, Richley, Austin, McCool, Bolen, Pollock, Starkey, Damron, Dillingham -just to name a few.

You may use photos I have posted to memorials as long you give me the proper credit. Thanks - Good Luck and happy hunting! :)

When requesting a grave photo, please try to Google the cemetery to obtain a phone number to get the grave location from the office/church. Please try to call the cemetery or church yourself, as it is usally a long disantace phone call for a volunteer. If you at least narrow it down to a section, I will search the said area for the grave. Some of these cemeteries are so large it is very difficult to find it, and it becomes very time consuming for a volunteer. Thanks for your help! :)

Louise Roetz and the Zahms - Mount Calvary Cemetery

Good Evening Dustin,

It was a good thing that you requested a photo of Louise Roetz's gravestone. The gravestone was under 2" of soil and covered in plants. I would never have known to look for it without your request.

The Zahms have a large upright monument with their inscriptions that faces west. I was there early this morning...not a good time for that particular photo. I'll probably capture it later this week.

Elizabeth Briggs - Mount Calvary

Hello Dustin,

The photos of the joint gravestone of Asa & Elizabeth Briggs are going to be sub-par. They're buried in an area that is heavily shaded from both the east and west. So, until the leaves come off the trees in November, I'm afraid that what I got today will have to do. If I don't remember myself, please don't hesitate to remind me to do a "retake" in November.

RE: THE GRAND RAPIDS PRESS

Hello Dustin,

I subscribe to GenealogyBank.com which has the Grand Rapids newspapers from 1893-1922. The rest...earlier and later...I get at the Grand Rapids Public Library (Downtown-Main)in the 3rd floor Genealogy/Local History department. Those you can get for free upon visiting the library by either emailing them to yourself or downloading them on a flash drive.

Hope that helps!

Fritz Family - Mount Calvary

Good Morning Dustin,

As always, you a very welcome! And, thank you for your affirming remarks! As you can probably tell, this is a real labor of love for me. And, when I throw myself into an area where I have real passion, I give it 150%. And so it is with 'Find A Grave' and memorializing those individuals in my "neck of the woods", particularly (right now) those in Mount Calvary Cemetery. To date, this is by far the largest cemetery I've taken on. I could probably spend years there trying to record every grave and monument...to my satisfaction. As it is, I'm constantly upgrading previous photos while also taking photos of new gravestones and monuments. And, as I'm doing it, I'm having a thoroughly grand time...no matter how cold or how hot & humid. It's an adventure of sorts and I relish all the challenges. Thanks again for your kind words and thank you for all the 'Find A Grave' work you do for others.

Best Regards,

Mike

Eby
Dustin, are you related to W. John Eby and Christine Eby buried in Bellevue Catholic Cemetery? If not, would you consider transferring them to me? I am related and would like to add information and links to their memorials! If not, let me know so I can send you the information to add!

Thanks for all your hard work,

Clinton Rodgers #46797913

Wrong headstone for Louis Boose
Hi Dustin, This headstone is not under the correct Louis Boose. Can I have you removed the head stone photo from Louis Boose #91712881, which is his son with the same name. Please move it to his fathers page Louis Boose. They are all linked. Thank you!
