Thank you so much for your message. More importantly thank you for being there for him. He and my Mom were very close and she was his trustee and will representative and household heir. They passed away nine months apart. I am the one he was conversing with here in Georgia to try and get him moved here. It was very disconcerting when I could get in touch with him with some information he had asked for on a particular house that he had liked from a stack I had sent him. With all of our conversations we never thought to get info on someone to contact if I could not get him. I believe he was more ill than he let on. My sister and I inherited his household belongings and I have one room specially dedicated to him, his Dad (I called him Uncle Burnett) and his Mom. I have been in touch with his maternal relatives in Washington state and even his high school classmates. My grandfather and Uncle Burnett were first cousins but also the best of friends - moving from Georgia together to find work in Akron, Ohio. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think of him as his antique "children" share the house with mine - we both have a deep love for the old - Mom used to say I was more his daughter than hers in that regard - LOL. Thank you again! My next "edit" day I will add this info. So sad that he specifically requested NO obituary, and NO service of any kind. SIGH He and Mom and their dads are together now....

Could you please edit the name of Charles de Langlade to his full name:
Charles Michel de Langlade
Would you mind transferring this memorial to me? I am a former board member of the Brown County Historical Society and of the Green Bay and De Pere Antiquarian Society. I remain active in local historic preservation and am in the process of beginning a new historical society for the Village of Bellevue, community adjacent to Allouez.
Also, we located the actual location of the gravesite of Charles Michel de Langlade several years ago. It is a mass grave including other family members and it is unmarked, but the location has been confirmed. UWGB has not updated their information on this yet. I will get a photo and post it.
Thanks so much,

I know he was married to Elma Ione Willis Bracher about 1937 and divorced in 1946 in Dade County FL. He remarried in Minnesota in 1949 and then died in Chicago 9 May 1975 at the age of 62. I added Leroy to Elma's Find A Grave as her first spouse, but I don't know the name of his 2nd spouse. Perhaps you can help??? His Find A Grave is # 79570320

Many decades ago my 2 children and I took a trip from Ohio to Pennsylvania where I believe a "Debbie" and her husband were going to visit relatives. We were dropped at my mom's and I remember stopping at a Wendy's along the OH Turnpike and eating my first taco salad. Might you be related to the Willis/Petries? If so, I'm glad to find you. If not, I'm thankful for this photograph. "MY" Debbie was from Missouri and we had met at great grampa Petrie's birthday party around Father's Day in June of possibly 1982 or 3?
At any rate, thanks much for this photo. I appreciate your dedication and contribution to my family:-)

I would like to know if you might be able to tell me who Martha Durham was married to. The headstone photo is not legible where I can read the spouses name.
