Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Kerry Elkins. I live in Oregon with my wife Joyce. I'm retired. I have been busy working on the family trees of my side (Elkins, Monroe, Stansbury, Patchin, Usher, Satterwhite, Hallum and Woody) I grew up in Neodesha, KS, and have many relatives there.

The ideal person to transfer one of the many memorials I have made for the Neodesha area would fit along the lines set forth by FindAGrave, I am more than happy to transfer any of these memorials that are not part of my family to anyone that promises to care for them. Cousins, aunts, and close friends please apply.

Come, look with me inside this drawer
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, black and white
faces proud, still, serene.
I wish I knew the people
These strangers in the box,
Their names and all their memories
are lost among my socks.
I wonder what their lives were like
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?
I'll never know their ways.
If only someone had taken time
To tell who, what, where or when,
These faces of my heritage
would come to life again.
Could this become the fate
Of pictures we take today?
The faces and memories
Someday to be passed away?
Make time to save your stories
Seize the opportunity when it knocks,
Or someday you and yours could be
The strangers in the box.

Anne Gibson
Thanks for linking Anne to her parents. Her father, Gus, was my grandpa's brother. I always knew of her as Annalou, my father's first cousin. I know that she did a lot of genealogy work on our family.

RE: Neodesha Kansas
Thank you. I have enjoyed all these years of working with F.A.G. and I hate having to give it up. But I'm just sliding more and more behind in my SAC responses. Cancer can be unrelenting.

I Remember When
The Halsteads
I have just given you all the Halstead names I have in Hosey Hill. Hopefully you can work them up and look up and add information to the pages. Information is important for other looking. Find a Grave has become such a great research tool for people that cannot afford to subscribe to the other services such as Ancestry.
Best regards,
