Bio and Links
Since retiring in 2000 I have undertaken the task of locating graves of as many descendants as possible.
(1) Of my mother's oldest ancestor, Jonathan Whilden, who entered Charleston 1695.
Whilden, although, essentially an unknown name now, played a historical part in the Civil War from relaying the order to fire the 1st shot of the war to leading the defense at The Bloody Angle-Spottsylvania Courthouse.
(2) Of my fathers oldest ancestor, who entered Charleston 1768 with his family from Killyleagh, County Down, Northern Ireland. Many of these migrated west to Georgia, Alabama, & Texas.
As indicated I retired in 2000, live in Lancaster, SC, have a wonderful wife of 47 years, 2 children and 2 grandchildren that like all grands I love to be obnoxious about.
Will gladly take pictures for any looking in this area.

Carr
Is there any chance that Willie Carr is Billie Carr? I tried to find Willie in the Mausoleum and I found a Billie M. Carr 1912 to 1997. Up above her is Alfred Lewin Carr.

Need Source
Hello. A couple a things. When you send info such as obituaries you need to supply the source. It will help anyone searching their genealogy to know where it came from, for proof. Next according to Findagrave Rules, You cannot scan obituaries to to the photo section. I have been repremanded for doing so. Findagrave has removed my scanned obituaries and stated the following. That they had the right to block me from my memorials and revolk my membership and close my account.I since have stared rewriting all the obituaries as the following rules relates. So please remove the Obituary you scanned to the following memorial: #85136270. If you wish to add an obituary, you must rewrite it, not verbatim and not including any living individuals and send it thru the edits and I will add it giving you credit. Sorry for the trouble.

Find a Grave reminder
Please do not post news article clippings or obituary scans in the photo section of memorials. This is against Find a Grave policy, detailed in the FAQs. Only photos of the person's grave headstone and grave site, plus a portrait photo of the person if available (personal photos that you own only), should be posted in the photo section.

Thank you,

Find a Grave Administration

Re: Scans
Partially correct. Obit scans are not allowed. Death certificates are allowed, though not considered optimal. Original grave photos are what the website is looking for. Transcribe any found obit into the bio text area.

John Z Falls - 117180350
Hello,
Our current sheriff of Cleveland County, Alan Norman, is looking for a photo of John Z Falls, the sheriff from 1866-1868 to take its place among the other 28 memorialized on the walls of his offices. I've pointed him toward Mr. Falls findagrave memorial, your contributor info for permission & the wonderful photo you've posted, but just in case, this is the phone number he's asking citizens with information to call 704 484 4888. Of the 28, he's missing only 9, sure hope the addition of Mr. Falls will make it only 8 missing. Blessings, Judy.

Your very welcome, I found Ben, Maude, Margie Hill Triplett & Family, Maudelene Hill Garner, L.E. Bates and Mary Bates. They were all together. Wasn't sure if you knew of them all. I try to photograph anyone in a family plot to help.

Best,
John
