Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love the old cemeteries and they are disappearing. Some in my area are grown up with trees, they actually are in woods. Stones are broken or completely gone. My ancestors are in these cemeteries and they are disappearing also. I plan on recording info and taking pics, as I can, before those that are left becomes history. Seeing this tells me there are thousands of graves that are forever gone already. I would be happy to turn over management of a memorial that isn't in my direct ancestory lineage. Please dont be offended if it is and I do not want to give it up.

RE: Prospect Cem.
I will love to meet you, it might take a few more weeks before I can go there. I will let you know when I can come. I found the marriage license of them. Yes they are husband and wife. that would make them my g grandparents. I don't understand why the different in the name change, still researching it. Pendergraff's are the hardest name that I have researched. Never knew anything about my grandfather except he was my grandfather. Only found a census on her living with my grandparents when she was older. I know on some census they are listed as Pendergraff's / Pendergrass. I am sure I will learn more as I research it. I will let you know

That is my grandfathers mother. Mary Susan, I am going to check and see if spelling was changed sometime. My married name is Roper but my husband's grandfather changed it from Raper to Roper, his brothers stayed Rapers.

RE: Prospect Cem.
That would be great! I can't find much on them yet, but I do know there names, he was Pleasant Pendergraff and her name is Mary Susan Pendergraff. There son is Robert, his son was William Norman Pendergraff. William was my grandfather. I would like to go to the cemetery but don't know how to get there. could you give me directions. my grandmother had his (Pleasant) in the old bible. I have the bible. I will keep digging until I find them in the census. "Thank You" I had no ideal where to find them. Pendergraff is a hard name to try to follow. What a challenge this is!

Holeman / Holemon
Hi Shelia,

Sorry I can not make any connection to you at this point. To the best of my knowledge I first find my family in Laurens County, South Carolina. They then migrated to St. Clair County, Alabama around 1823 of so.

My great-great-grandfather was Kassiah Holemon and he married Lindevella Box. They later went to Louisiana and my line came back to Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Please contact me by email and at some point we just may connect.

Thanks you so much.

Whoever wrote, "Mary E. Savage Sittler Blevins married Timothy Sisk on 18 Jul 1835 Hopkins Co., KY. She is NOT the mother of any Sisk child other than Newton Sisk.." was right on except there is no record that Mary was a Blevins. She 2nd married widower Eleazer Givens with whom she had 7 more kids. Upon his death she married Rev Timothy Sisk who she also outlived.

So at her death she was Mary Eveline Sitler Givens Sisk nee Savage (some spell Sitler as Sittler).

Mary was my my 4g gm through her dau Mary Jane Henry nee Sitler.

Coty Vincent
Picture of Bobby Earl Vincent
Hello Shelia, a few weeks ago I went to my pawpaws grave at silent run church for the first time since the funeral. It was hard, but I felt I needed to. Not having any contact with that side of the family anymore I've come to realize and fear that I'm starting to forget what papaw Vincent looks like. And that I have nothing but a picture of his headstone and memories to remember him by. So I was hoping that hopefully you'd have some photos of him you could email to me. If so let me know, I would greatly appreciate it more then you would probably ever understand. I loved that man more then life it's self, and sometimes it's sad to realize I had such a short time with him. Thanks in advance!

Sallie Brown transfer
Thank you so much for the transfer ! If you are talking about my email address it is correct. I don't know why it wouldn't let you use it.
As you can see I've already updated Sallie Browns site.
Again thank you
