Bio Photo Hi!

A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!

If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!

From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

RE: Shelton memorials
Colleen, for Jane Shelton (, I used a birth date calculator to verify (because the memorial conflicted with what I had in my records), and it comes up with October instead of December as the birth month. For Eddie O. Shelton (, the image death date is August 7, 1879, but the memorial has it as August 6, 1878. By then doing the calculation with the age at death, I got a birthdate that was different, too. Thanks.

RE: Harriet and James Collins
Hi, I did some research and I did have James in the wrong cemetery. Fulk Family Cemetery is now called the Fulk-Mckinney Cemetery. At least, that is what findagrave says. It shows Fulk Family as an an alias to Fulk-Mckinney. I changed James and put him in the right cemetery. Thanks for the heads up! :)

RE: Permission to use photo
It's perfectly fine for what I need it for, don't go out of your way. :) I've got my own pictures of it, but they are on a computer that decided to not work anymore. Boo! Plus, the stone is so old and faded, the picture you have is of the best quality. I've always been interested by the symbol at the top of the headstone. To me, it appears to be an angel holding something in her arms as she gazes down at it. I have my thoughts that Hester Ann might've died in childbirth and the child along with her. Her husband, Amos, went on to remarry and have other children, but his eldest son wrote his obituary and mentioned an 'Orestes' as being a child who preceded him in death. I have no evidence or proof of an 'Orestes' unfortunately.

Thank you again for your help! It is very much appreciated. :)

Permission to use photo
Hi there! I am asking to use a photo you took in a PowerPoint for my family reunion. The photo is of the headstone of Hester Ann Ballard in Smith Cemetery in Madison County, IN. She was married to my 3rd-great-grandfather, Amos Ballard.

Thank you very much for any assistance!

Oweetah Ridenour - # 87180654
I added her maiden name on the edit tab. When I was researching my Ridenour lineage I was in contact with her and have a hand written letter she sent me. She was a wonderful lady and I am sorry to find she passed.
